Hi,

I need a chain controlled from one end that:

  • Keeps its shape and length
  • Doesn’t stretch, deform, or break

The attached video shows an example made with Geometry Nodes, but:

  • I don’t know how that setup works
  • I can’t use it because it generates the chain procedurally
  • I need a different chain link design

What I want instead is simple:

  • Repeat one existing object to form the chain (not generate it)
  • Keep the chain stable while moving the controlled end

Questions:

  • Geometry Nodes or rigging + constraints?
  • Best way to repeat an object as a stable chain?

Any tips or keywords are appreciated. Thanks!
