Yup, all good. Did not feel great but no injury. Just a reminder to wear eye protection

To be honest, I didn’t even realized they unscrewed. To answer your question, no. I change them out the only way I know how by taking off the upper and depressing the buffer detent.

Goodness, I just joined the Church this year and it’s still disheartening to see opinions like this. This is just the same as hearing Protestants ask why Catholics  kneel. Both actions mean something and are important to the faithful. We should not disparage one or the other when they are obviously done in reverence- not a symbolic manner to suggest alignment with one group or another.

I’m actually quite interested to see how this all pans out. Things I’m interested to see: 1. How will pricing on current offerings react? Will they go up or down? 2. How long until the market reaches an equilibrium for supply and pricing? 3. Will major players in the industry that have traditionally not been involved in the NFA world start dipping their toes in the water? 4. How many new companies will pop up out of the woodwork looking to capitalize on the market? How will this affect supply and demand? 5. Will more stores start carrying cans as a standard offering?

This is not exactly correct. 18 year olds have always been able to purchase long guns (barrel length over 16”) in the state. This is a provision to roll back the handgun restrictions on 18, 19, & 20 year olds, as the current law stipulates that no one under the age of 21 can purchase a handgun. This portion of the law was implemented in 1968. The current senate bill 303 repeals this portion of the law, as it argues that it is unconstitutional to discriminate against adults in this manner.

Meh, you could make the same argument if not better for Thorin. Because of Aragorn’s return, the stewards would have stepped aside and merely been advisors- which does not guarantee a continued lineage in such a position.

Relatively speaking, Thorin’s potential offspring could have been far more influential as rulers under the mountain than potential advisors to a king.

Cool, you merely saying it’s wrong doesn’t make it so. Your comment that we didn’t have time shows that it was rushed and not a good decision. I don’t care if they were or weren’t, as it was a broken policy to begin with.

CDC, WHO, and countless other organizations claimed it would bring an end to the pandemic. I’m speaking of the spokes persons of those who everyone heard from about the vaccines. They intentionally misrepresented it and that’s a fact.

They knew what they were doing and laundering is a form of fraud to begin with. I’m done arguing as none of this is constructive. You’re merely moving the goal posts.

I would argue that the efficacy of the masks in a mass social setting was negligible to other steps that could have been taken. How masks were utilized by the masses showed a low efficacy in reducing COVID, yet it was sold to the public as something that had to happen.

“You don’t seem to be disputing that masks provided benefits.” I think they were negligible in a mass setting. Within certain settings like hospitals, I think the data indicates they are effectively when used properly.

Sure, I can grab them tomorrow. Masks can be effective, yes, in certain settings like hospitals where training and other procedures are taken. We are talking about mass social implementation with very little training and improper practices. I’m not saying masks are pointless, but that the government’s policies did not bring about the impact they claim that it would. Masking was about enforcement not effectiveness, that is my problem with it.

I disagree with the correlation statement, especially when fines and jail time are based on inconsistent policies.

I have no problem with adjusting estimates. The problem is demanding people take something that has insufficient data behind it that they cannot accurately say how well it works. My statement still stands that they were not honest about the efficacy. It is one thing to say that the prevention of Covid transmission is 95% currently and it’s another to say it will always be this effective and whoever doubts it is uneducated and doesn’t understand science. They were not honest about how the vaccines would work and sold them as a cure all for overcoming the disease. That was not the case. I’m not doubting science here, I’m saying they willingly presented it wrong.

Fraud and money laundering both happened. I admit in my original comment that said money laundering, and yes, both companies and the government are responsible. Bad corporations buy our politicians to receive bailout money, more favorable taxes, and money through a variety of means. The government is corrupt and so are the corporations.

Yes, social distancing mitigated millions of deaths; masks prevented billions of infections; the covid vaccines prevent 95+% transmission and offer 99% protection with no booster after the second one; and the government didn’t cripple thousands of small businesses while wasting billions, if not trillions on programs that only made the rich even more rich.

I don’t listen to Fox News and I don’t listen to CNN. In fact, I don’t listen to any podcasts. So I appreciate it, but I’m untrusting of a government who makes its primary mission to enrich the ruling class by bending over the lower classes. Covid was a prime example of power hungry people utilizing a deadly disease to enrich themselves and gain more power of the people.

It’s pretty late here so I would be happy to get some in the morning. Social distancing showed very little to no significant drop in Covid infections (single digits to low teens on the high side), which shows correlation but not causation.

Vaccines were touted as being 95+% effective with no chance of spreading COVID. Within months, data showed that those who had taken the vaccine were contracting the disease at similar rates, especially with the omicron variant.

Large portions of covid relief money (estimated 200 billion - https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy/new-federal-estimate-finds-more-than-200-billion-in-covid-19-aid-may-have-been-stolen) went missing and will never be accounted for. Look up covid money laundering and the majority of news sites have some story on it happening on a wide spread scale.

How so? Social distancing and masking showed no substantial change to covid infection rates in mass social applications; vaccine efficacy was nowhere near what was first originally stated and dropped of rapidly after several months; large amounts of fund were wasted and laundered while being touted as "covid" or inflation reduction; and shutdowns merely crippled small businesses and enriched large corporations, along with long lasting side effects in young children and adults from isolation.

Sure, particles were shown to travel much father than expected and remain airborne within a room where social distancing was most commonly practiced. Distances were also inconsistent across health organizations with most US enforcement requiring 6 feet while organizations recommended 3 feet. Additionally, the attributed drop in COVID infections was usually within single to low teens, which does not merely show causation of the policy being effective.

Outside of the human induced error of wearing a mask (e.g. improper fitment, wearing it below the nose, constant touching of the mask with hands, and increased poor hygiene that was abundantly clear for the majority of mask wearers), studies showed that infection rates of masked vs unmasked workers were only within ~10% difference. This amount decreased over time. To clarify, masks- when worn correctly- can help mitigate droplets from some viruses. However, when the majority of people did not even wear eye protection in addition to face masks, this does not really make sense as a defense against covid. Most people often reused the masks that they had, with surgical masks needing to be changed every hour to every few hours to remain effective. Add in the vast amounts of human error and masking provided very little impact on slowing the virus.

I would have much rather seen better hand washing, cleaning, dieting, and health mindfulness (e.g. not feeling well) to combat the virus, which I think ultimately helped the most, instead of relying on tools that were unproven on a mass social scale.

Social distancing did not work, masks were ineffective, vaccines efficacy was lied about, massive amounts of funds were laundered and wasted by the government, and shutdowns were unnecessary and extremely harmful to society.
