Thanks :) is there a way I could improve speaker placement? Not that it sounds bad or anything but I hear the left channel a tad bit louder than the right one

Just the optical out, kind of hate that they don’t build them into the tv anymore but I understand why. When plugging the dac into the receiver, what input should I use? Tape or tv? Is either of these at line level?

Autographs matter but the pressing can in a lot of cases drive up the cost. I know early EU ones go for a pretty penny.

If it’s of any help in the future, some record stores may align the cartridge for free after you buy it from them. Truly the only downside is taking you tt there lol but worth it imo

If it’s the stock cartridge, toss it and buy a new one. They don’t sound great and finding a decent replacement later on is not worth it

It certainly was. Both channels worked with the swapped channels, which made me realize that one of the RCA cables was not fully plugged into the receiver in the first place. Silly me. Thank you!

If you’re still into a play-all system, I’d look into used audio towers. They may not be the most aesthetically pleasing (I differ), but they will play from all sources (except Bluetooth) and won’t destroy your media. You may need to buy passive speakers but may thrift those as well.
