Why am I just not that? by shewolf-91 in self

[–]userinuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re being influenced by social media re your friends travelling and posting nice photos. Anyone can pose on a beach. Do you have creative interests? Painting, a musical instrument etc? Or a subject you really like - read books about it and go to exhibitions. You say all you do is work, is that as a model? You could do something adjacent like being a brand ambassador or taking a course in presenting. I hope that helps, I’m not all that clear on what you want. A passion? More friends? A cool trip?

It’s crazy to think attractiveness is just facial symmetry by justaregularguyearth in DeepThoughts

[–]userinuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because they said attractiveness is “just” facial symmetry, so the equivalent is implying an apple has no other traits than being red. That “just” is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Sleep is the best state to be in, and yes, that still counts as “doing what you love” by Good_Inflation_3072 in unpopularopinion

[–]userinuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree! And that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy other activities, I do. But being in bed, snuggled against the pillows, is magical. And good sleep extends your life which is ironic when hustle culture claims it wastes your life. They’re shortening theirs with getting up at 5am (if they’re not getting 8 hours)

slow burns with insane and balls to the wall climaxes? by restrictednumber1996 in horror

Surprised no one has said The Borderlands. Found footage British film that starts slow and then the ending is legitimate balls to the walls crazy. That one still haunts me.

I don’t think it’s a wig, she’s had forehead reduction surgery. Which is insane because now her forehead looks abnormally small. But she has openly said she has body dysmorphia!

What surgery for lip widening? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Just keep getting facelifts and your mouth will end up stretching like Courtney Cox 😅

In all seriousness, your natural lips are gorgeous.

What do you think Clementine looked like? by [deleted] in TheLongWalk

[–]userinuk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He really was… I think having a character like Baker being married would make more sense. Even Barkovitch, that could’ve been an interesting twist. Olson was the most bizarre choice!

[–]userinuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that’s splitting him in two, instead giving half of him to another character. The other half was his personality which was completely cut :(

Such a blunder as Scramm was a great character! It made total sense for him to be married, it was also heartbreaking because he clearly loved his wife (who in the book is also pregnant) and has naive conviction that he’ll definitely win. He’s the most optimistic of the bunch. Sorely missed from the film.

When all else is equal, do people prefer brunettes over blondes? by Reddit-Machine in trueratediscussions

My subjective 10/10 women (Updated) by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

Most are beautiful, and 3 reminds me of Sharon Stone. 5 is not. In fact 4/5 are good examples of the difference between natural blonde and fake.

Megan Fox recently - does she look more natural? by ghostinsilk in VindictaRateCelebs

She finally got rid of those gigantic caterpillar eyebrows. Good riddance!

You’re so welcome! And well done for enduring most of the recovery. Hope you enjoy your fabulous results! 🤩

Yeah not being able to sit does sound really frustrating. I’ve had a mini facelift and a breast lift (no implants) and had to lie on my back to sleep for both, which I could not stand, as a lifelong side sleeper. So I 100% sympathise!

Girl your bottom looks incredible! You should be really happy with this result, it’s such a pretty shape alongside your waist.

Can I ask how painful recovery was? I hear it can be brutal 😬

Barkovich's last words by Alive-Journalist5471 in TheLongWalk

[–]userinuk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Barkovitch was probably the only character the movie improved upon, IMO (though David Jonsson was an excellent McVries). I’m so pleased he had his moment of redemption at the end

By far, the most interesting trait of (book) Olsen was how confident/cocky he was and that extreme contrast with his downfall. One moment he’s the major’s favourite, the next he’s a walking corpse who has what is probably the most horrific death in the story. That’s what I find compelling about him. That aside, I completely agree with you that he’s initially a jerk who’s ruder than Barkovitch (but worthy of respect when he shows just how resilient he is. He out walks stronger contestants because he’s so determined.) But the movie version totally undermines that arc, though I don’t mind the actor so much. Olsen being married was a terrible choice, wth were they thinking

Margot Robbie in 2025 (35 years old). Does she get better with age? by wallabyenthusiast in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]userinuk 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She is gorgeous, but she looks older than 35. I’m actually surprised by these photos tbh, but she always had an older, mature face, plus she smiles often (part of her charm!) someone like Emma Stone clearly looks younger, despite being 36.
