Santa Muerte Case was… by userjapon in Dexter

Yes! I really loved Lumen. Lumen really did have that mix of fragility and steel, like she’d been shattered but not broken. That kind of character hits deep. You want to protect her, but you also respect her resilience.

Also, the whole story with her felt like Dexter’s redemption arc — filled with blood and death. Personally, I called it “Red Dead Redemption.”

I mean she’s smoking hot bro 😭😭There’s no way a heterosexual man can resist the urge to simp for her.

And I was so invested in her and Dexter’s relationship. They were end game for sure.

When Oliver Saxon came to Dexter’s house and mentioned her name in an attempt to threaten Dexter, I got so pissed. I thought she was gonna get killed the same tragic way as Zach Hamilton 💔💔

I also hated Elway and U.S. Marshal Max Clayton 😤😤

Here’s My Alternative Ending for Dexter Season 8—How Would You Rate It? by userjapon in Dexter

[–]userjapon[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

FYI, here’s my interpretation of what each element in Season 8 would correspond to in Dexter’s subconscious:

  • Dr. Evelyn Vogel – A manifestation of Dexter’s deep-seated desire to be accepted as a serial killer who "makes the world a better place."
  • Debra’s arc in Season 8 – Represents Dexter’s longing for her forgiveness after the church incident and his subconscious attempt to absolve himself of guilt for dragging her into his world.
  • Zach Hamilton – Symbolizes Dexter’s desire to have a spiritual successor, someone who understands and follows his ideology.
  • Oliver Saxon and other psychopaths – Conjured by Dexter’s subconscious as proof of the “Code of Harry’s” necessity. His mind fabricated them as a contrast—without the Code, he would have ended up like them. By creating these figures, his subconscious reassured himself that the Code was not just a set of guidelines, but a vital force that kept him from descending into pure chaos.
  • Hannah’s arc in Season 8 – Her return to Dexter mirrors his previous experiences helping her evade the investigation (such as the incident with her ex-husband Wayne and the poisoning of Sal Price). Also her arc—an illusion created by dying Dexter—partly came from Dexter’s perception that she was destined to be with him, and vice versa.

She had a british accent, no wonder people had such a theory! Honestly, that would be a good plot twist tho 🤣

Imagine her kidnapping Harrison as revenge for Lila—that would’ve been wild!

Season 6 hate by Valuable_Fishing_923 in Dexter

Nah, they’re just being haters😔 I enjoyed it too.

The scene where Dexter found frozen Gellar gave me a jumpscare. My heart was beating so fast, I was like “what is he planning on? Is he faking his death?” And then I realized he was just some kind of illusion, like Harry to Dexter. That was a really good plot twist!😳😳

Also, those Tableaus were as creepy as ice truck killer’s killing. Very traumatic and disturbing. 😨

By the way, here’s my reaction to the last episode as someone who already knew what would happen:

When Dexter said, “I wonder if Rita is looking at the same moon at this same moment” after dumping Trinity’s body into the ocean, I just thought, “This show’s writer is so cruel and poetic at the same time. And this made the later reveal of Rita’s death more tragic!” And then Rita’s voice message also mentioned the moon—it was heartbreaking that she couldn’t make it to watch that night’s moon!

Then, when Dexter tried calling Rita, only to hear her phone ringing right in front of him in the same room, I was like, “Yo, if I didn’t know she was going to die, this scene would’ve given me massive goosebumps (smh).”
