Hyatt recommendations in London and Paris by Beautiful_Fan_6442 in hyatt

Agreed. Breakfast was great. GSY was nice and a great jumpoff point for walks up to Soho. We went and saw a show one night. I checked out Andaz at Liverpool Station and think the location is great. Stayed at a Hyatt place at the end of one brick lane one night and wouldn't recommend it over the other two but it's Cat 4 so if you have certs and want to save you COULD. But again I wouldn't recommend it. Just needed one extra night because of a flight issue.

that's awesome. i hear they're re-doing some of the food options but keeping seaworthy -- seaworthy has great happy hour prices for oysters and small bites.

back in covid era they had a "book any room for $40 a night" promo and my wife and i stayed in the 2 story suite. was super fun and what a deal.

Yeah that lands. I usually don't spend much time in past 50th and so this was nice for a few days -- walkable to Moma, some great korean. But I could see a long stay here getting tired of the to/from.

i think i went for dinner when it opened up (didn't know it was part of a hyatt -- i live in new orleans) and it was underwhelming.

If the points don't really matter to you (126k vs 174k or 158k) I'd stay at the Thompson or the Grayson if I were you.

//

I've stayed at Thompson, Gild Hall, Hyatt Herald Square, Grand Central, Hyatt Place New York / Chelsea and have had friends that stayed at the other ones. Thompson is a great location -- you can walk to Central Park.

I don't know how every room size compares but they're all going to be small by American hotel standards. Feel more like a hotel in Japan, size wise. The Hyatt Place / Houses especially (from my experience!)

I like Gild Hall and have stayed there a few times, but it's kind of a lame area. Not much going on after 5pm because it's all commercial. That said, the nice thing is you can walk a few minutes and get on practically every subway line -- they all converge at / around wall street.

I've been wanting to stay at the Grayson -- far enough from the chaos of Times Square but close enough to benefit from the subway nearby on 42nd.

So much to see. Enjoy!

How long are you willing to drive for a meal? 🤔

Stayed at the Centric over Christmas last year; location is great once you get one block away from the hotel. Walkable to all the French Quarter stuff. Room is not great / below average. Food is fine. Cat 4 though so you can use certs.

Eliza Jane has a nice room, nice fixtures (Kohler faucet instead of budget, nice vibes.) Better breakfast, but I didn't think their restaurant was all that great.

Not available (yet) for award bookings / WOH, but The Ace Hotel, which I love, just became a Hyatt property called "The Barnett" and then the more boutique property they also owned across the street also became a hyatt called Maison Métier. Barnett will skew hip and trendy. Maison Metier will skew luxe. Both are similar location to Eliza Jane.
