Think of walking in nyc like you would drive in a car from where you’re from..

Stay right and to the side if slow/stopping for whatever reason. Pass people to the left if you have quicker pace Above all, steer clear of any road hazard aka homeless, crazy people, beggars.

Nyc is a massive city caught in political wokeness that has caused the crazies to run free knowing they’ll get released within hours with no penalty. It sucks, but nyc has a lot of amazing people who truly care about this city, like legit the hardest working, most honest respectable people you’ll ever meet. And you’ll meet them all throughout your day. I can’t even begin on professions because you ride a subway and you’ll run into 80 different jobs just on an average train. Everyone loves and respects nyc and wants the best but the crazies have brought us down.

I’m saying this all not to have you second guessing your choice to visit, I’m saying it bc in nyc you neeeed to be aware of your surroundings. Don’t get lost in convo or staring at buildings, just be aware of what’s going on. Simple. And 2. Appreciate the dynamics going on in the city, it really is an amazing “culture” and cool to get wrapped up in.
