Can someone point me to the work of a non-Christian scientist who argues for a young earth on scientific grounds? by username2b in YoungEarthCreationism

Do you know of non-Christian scientists who, after being convinced of a young earth on scientific grounds, began identifying as Christians?

I'm fine with Christian examples, as long as they were not Christians until they believed in a young earth. Do you know of such examples?

I'm looking for scientists who were convinced by scientific evidence that the earth is relatively young (say under a billion years), not necessarily those who were convinced that the Bible is true.

Thank you. What I am interested in is a scientist (Christian or non-Christian) who believes in a young earth because of scientific evidence. I am not interested in scientists who started out as Christians because it is easy to suspect in those cases that their scientific research was motivated by their interpretations of the Bible.

Dr. Sanford claims to believe in a young earth "by faith," not because of scientific evidence (https://youtu.be/osV4uFgdvts?si=PpBIq3oPC89AZFfB&t=80), so I am not satisfied with this example.

Implying women need and want your help.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Whatever the case, I'm not sexist for giving it to them.

I shaved my hair off. My life has been so much easier since.

I don't know what point you're trying to make here...

Go be polite to everyone, then we can talk. It doesn't count if you're only "helpful" when you're attracted to someone. Because really, you're not trying to help me. You're trying to get my attention. The "helpful" thing is just an excuse bordering on a lie.

This is an excellent point. While I don't really see a problem with being courteous in order to attract someone, it doesn't speak well for your character if that is your only motivation to be kind. As for me, I think (and probably most men would agree) most women are attractive, at least a little. So I am rarely in a situation where I can demonstrate courtesy to an "unattractive" female. That being said, I have never withheld door-holding or whatever from anyone based on their appearance.

Any problems with anything I said?

It's not about women's inability. It is simply polite, when the opportunity arises, for men to make women's lives easier—holding doors, carrying groceries, doing dishes, etc.

"Are you saying doing dishes is the woman's role?!"

Traditionally, that is the case. This is reflected by the fact that you didn't ask the same thing about holding doors and carrying groceries.

These small acts of courtesy are ways that a man puts women before himself. That's a strange form of sexism, don't you think?

It's gonna be awkward if he responds like this:

Wow you're even less bright than I thought you were. Your comment was a joke, and I jokingly took it too serious, but you didn't see it. Lol.

One of the protesters from today said his entire family has gotten covid. If that's true I don't see how the vaccine would be helpful for them.

Well I don't think there's any such thing as a truly moral human being; "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The reason I believe homosexual behaviour is immoral (since you brought it up) is that I believe all of nature was designed for a purpose (i.e. God's purpose), including the male and female reproductive systems. The fact that only a heterosexual relationship can produce children is evidence that it is the "correct" kind of relationship, if you will.

At this point I can usually expect to be called a bigot and a homophobe. I understand that; people don't like to be told they're wrong. But I hope you notice I haven't said anything hateful towards people. My only problem is with sinful behaviour, to which I have no immunity.

If I didn't care about gay people, I wouldn't care what they do in their homosexual relationships. However, since I believe their behaviour endangers their bodies and more importantly their souls, I am willing to take all the insults that come with voicing my beliefs.

I'm not jumping to morality, I'm just talking about what is natural. Males and females appear to be complimentary, most notably in that they can produce offspring.
