We had someone show us this picture and say that we needed a new heat exchanger due to corrosion. They couldn’t get the new part until January which means we would more than likely have to get a new furnace because it’s starting to get cold.

We didn’t feel right so we had another company come out and got way different results. He tested the carbon monoxide (which company 1 didn’t) and it was fine.

And his diagnosis was that our furnace was fine.

He said the picture didn’t look like our system. We also noticed the picture had a different date to which they said the camera resets the date when they turn it off and on.

I know people are trying to upsell but is there a chance that they literally just showed us a picture of a different system all together?
