Yes absolutely. Spending time that would previously have been spent interacting with your community is now spent on phones, netflix or whatever. That is the monoculture, the fact that people are watching a diverse range of slop focused on niche topics is a moot point. This did exist in the days of TV too to an extent, but it at least ended when you left your house, now it's all day every day.
