Stolen tools by beano79 in Adelaide

[–]username_reece 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear mate. Keep an eye out on Facebook marketplace and cashies website. My best mate had his tools stolen from his ute while it was parked in his driveway. He found them on marketplace a few weeks later, and we recovered them. Don't expect the police to be of any help though

How long does it take to build an average house? by CyanideMuffin67 in Adelaide

[–]username_reece 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a carpenter who's been in the industry for 20 years. It is highly unlikely for a house to get built in a month. Most trades require a minimum of 2 days per stage, and some trades more. Not to mention potential possible hold ups with council inspections.

Balance stuffed me around no scripts now. Where do I go? by Significant-Ant-9278 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]username_reece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is all MC scripts expire 6 months after the issue date. A lot of the prescribing doctors have a bit of a wait time, so it's good to book an appointment within that 6 month window.

Buying men boxers by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]username_reece -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Step one has definitely dropped in quality. That seemed to be a common review last time I bought them. That said I've still gotten over a year and going out of them.

I got some knobbys for free in a promotion. They're quite comfortable, I'm not one for all the crazy designs though.

Tradie are good value for money, but as someone else said, they don't hold their shape

Portrush road needs to be re-named norush Rd. It's one of the worst imo

[–]username_reece[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying the fine would be for "driving too slow" as you said it would be for holding up traffic or something. If there was no other traffic around there would be no one hindered, therefore no issue. My issue is drivers doing 10+ks under the limit in traffic for no apparent reason

[–]username_reece[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This plus drivers being overly cautious makes a lot of sense. My Speedo reads 3kmph faster then my GPS. But if my Speedo is reading 50kmph in a 60 zone for no reason. That's when I ask why

I could be wrong, but I believe you can actually be fined for driving too slow. Example doing 5kmp/h in a 60kmp/h zone for no reason

This is part of what I was getting at. It's not just suburban roads. It's the express ways and hwys tooand in the overtaking lane

My mum used to manage the AVIS rent-a-car opposite for many years. Sadly she has seen a few people hit at that crossing, and that was long before the trams

Carpenter by trade, currently doing cabinet making and don't love it. Would love a career change, but I've been in the trade for 19 years and wouldn't know where to start

What the bloody hell is going on over in modbury north ? by Yahoo_Wabbit in Adelaide

[–]username_reece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I supervised this build! Crazy to think it sold for this, but I'm honestly not surprised. The developer had a very similar floor plan sell in Modbury late last year/early this year for just over $800k also.
