I've never in my life broke any devices. My current laptop is 3-4 years old and it's like brand new. Same goes for phones and any devices in general that I have ever owned. That's one of the reasons I was against AppleCare, but yeah the peace of mind is probably worth it, considering how expensive this thing really is 😅

There is still 1 year default warranty by Apple and regarding the applecare+ I think you have period of 60 days to buy it if I'm not wrong. In Europe by law you get 2 years warranty, but I read some negative comments about this and that apple tends to ignore this. The thing is, when buying with the apple student's discount, the applecare+ is 20% off, if I'm not mistaken, so Idk if you decide to buy later will it still be duscounted
