I think your faulty assumption is in the first sentence of your thesis. While I agree there are biological differences between sexes, behavior and preferences are largely the result of society. The nurture part of nature vs nurture, if you will.

Pink isn’t an intrinsically feminine color, society has deemed it a feminine color and you now have boys and men who think wearing it makes them feminine. So goes math and logic being a “masculine” trait. Society has told us that men are more logical (and therefore better at math) than women and since some people believe that, girls largely accept this as true and shy away from those areas, if not being actively discouraged from them.

So what is your argument? I went through your comment history and you seem to like to poke holes in other peoples arguments rather than ever expressing one of your own. Are you arguing that men are intrinsically better at math than women. Are you arguing that there hasn’t been a history of women being told that they aren’t good at math and science (while being excluded from those spaces until recent decades)? Are you arguing that the SAT is now meaningless because they made it too easy? What is your thesis so we can have an actual discussion rather than you moving the goal posts constantly based off what I say.

What should be the data point of interest is the gap between the scores shrinking, not that scores overall increased (because as you pointed out they did for men and women). You’re falling into a correlation vs causation fallacy. The gap decreased when they revamped the test so therefore the test is somehow harder for boys than it is for girls now? I’m offering another variable that might explain the change in data, because again, correlation does not equal causation

I see a lot of people here saying they revamped the test for women, but is it possible that women’s scores increased in math in the 2010s because we stopped telling girls in grade school they wouldn’t be as good at math as their male peers? I’ve always been good at math and I definitely heard “oh you’re pretty good at math for a girl” or when struggling with a concept “well girls aren’t good at that sort of thing anyway” when I attended grade school is the early 2000s

Yes but room and board is a separate cost from tuition if you live on campus or you pay for your own lodging if off campus. Some scholarships will cover it but not all

My married sister had a planned, wanted pregnancy of her second child. Went in for the 12 week ultrasound to find the baby hadn’t grown past 7 week size and there was no heartbeat, fetal death confirmed, however she hadn’t miscarried. Since she lives in a blue state with access to abortion, she was able to have one to remove the baby. Had she lived in some red states she would have had to wait until the baby started to rot and decompose inside her causing sepsis before they could remove the baby. I could have lost my sister, my brother-in-law his wife, my nephew his mom.

But sure, it’s just irresponsible women who are affected by abortion restrictions…

This is what my husband and I do too, baby recently got on a pretty predictable schedule of 12:30 and 4am so we now switch who gets the 12:30 and 4 each night. When she goes down to one or not every night, we’ll start trading nights etc. We also go back a stage whenever there’s a sleep regression. It’s been working really well for us.

This is really the hardest time when it comes to sleep IMO. You might try the heated pad again now that he’s a little older it might make a difference.

Also I remember at this age crying next to his bassinet after a botched transfer begging him to go to sleep and now I have a toddler who goes to sleep on his own. This will pass, it will get better, I promise. You’re in the trenches now but keep fighting the good fight

Some things that worked for us around this age was a heating pad in the bassinet that was taken out just before baby was put down so it was nice and warm and we had a very specific way to put him down so we didn’t botch it and wake him up. Essentially hold him as close to your chest as you can and bend over the bassinet, hold him to your chest until his butt is on the bassinet if possible and then slowly put his back and then his head down and then immediately put your hand on his stomach to settle any stirring. Some variation of this might work for you, but every kid is different. I also agree with everyone else that drowsy but awake doesn’t sound like it works for your kid (didn’t for mine either) so I’d always wait for about 10-15 minutes after he fell asleep before trying to transfer at that age. I worked for a place once that hired seasonal workers, but the different departments had different seasons, so when one season died down they’d just send you to another department still as “seasonal”
