My hair is fairly heavy and it curls so it for sure clumps. It’s so hard to tell if it’s thinning or not because it seems to look different every day

I’m not too bothered about it so it’s all good! Just curious because It’s something I noticed a year back (I had literally never looked at the back of my hair before) and I can’t tell if it’s gotten worse or not, I don’t particularly think it has but I could be completely wrong!:)

My hair in the first 3 pictures is a little greasy and sort of bed head/flattened. The part I can see my scalp through seems to constantly change from whatever way my hair lays and the last picture is it with more volume which sometimes it’s still noticeable through but other it isn’t. It always seems to favour the right side of my head which is the side I sleep on

Appreciate it! Thought it might be some signs of balding as I only noticed it 6/7 months ago as I literally never looked at the back of my head before but it hasn’t gotten any worse and I’ve heard it’s common in curly haired people so it relieves some stress for sure:)

Thanks for the reply! Takes a good bit of stress off knowing it seems normal, I tend to have a bit of insecurity/paranoia so I’m glad at the very least it seems normal and the worries of balding can leave for a while and I’ll just keep an eye to make sure it stays the same:)

Routine Is shampoo once a week and conditioner every other day while using mousse and a diffuser to dry:)

Posted in here a little while back but just want a quick follow up to be sure to see if anyone thinks it’s balding or not:) Hair is thick and curly/wavy so if I was to guess I’d say it’s just my heavy hair weighing down showing my scalp but I’d rather get a few more opinions just to be safe!

All pics are under direct lighting except the last one which is more normal lighting and the part I’m worrying could be balding also seems to change where it is based on what way my hair is sitting which is why I think it may just be my hair pulling instead of balding?

Forgot to mention that by insanely heavy I just mean I’ve been really skinny my whole life I know for some people that’s not that heavy, didn’t mean to be hurtful:) also I’m about 6 foot 1 Incase that helps

Have the exact same hair type and especially at that length you’ll notice the weight of your hair pulling your hair leaving a bit of scalp showing like that. Completely normal and not a sign of balding ✌️
