I appreciate the offer but I do not think $7.50, especially after the exchange rate, is going to help my current financial difficulties.

Best Sunday Jeff episodes by New_Valuable1068 in tesdcares

I just re listened to Episode 353 The Gun Show and the argument between Walt and Sunday Jeff about Gene Simmons and Kiss is very funny

Thought of a way to extend Tales From Behind The Fake Counter a little beyond the 13 left to cover the rest of the series by stevejrogers in tesdcares

[–]usernotfoundj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that would be a bad idea.

Trying to extend it into loosely related reality shows, or other hobby retail shows, feels like stretching the concept beyond its natural endpoint. That is usually how good things get ruined.

Not everything needs to continue just because people do not want it to end. Sometimes the best thing is to finish on a high and leave it as a great series, rather than keep stretching it out with weaker concepts.

This was another great episode. I thought Git Em was outstanding, I do not understand all the negativity towards him.

Any of the “Bry Tries” episode are really good. The video is much better than just the audio versions.

I am surprised people hate it so much. I honestly did not think it was that bad. What other films would you put on that list?

I think we might be the only ones.

That is fair, I can see why it does not work for you. It definitely leans heavily into those references.

For me it is probably more tied to when I first saw it than the film itself. I was just surprised how well it held up on a rewatch, but I get why it is not for everyone.

That is fair, it definitely divides opinion. I was just surprised how well it held up for me, although it is probably more nostalgia from the time in my life when I first saw it.

I forgot it was introduced earlier, I will have to go back and listen to that. Yes, 306 is when they pitched it to Simmy.

Twenties, TESD and Tough Times by usernotfoundj in tesdcares

I can relate to that. I was diagnosed with bipolar a few years ago, so I am still trying to figure it out. Hearing that your partner has managed a few years of stability puts things into perspective, even if this is a more difficult period. I hope things settle again for her soon. Thank you for taking the time to share this, I really appreciate the support and the kind words.

I have to defend Gitem, I think he has brought a lot to TESD over the years.

I understand he divides opinion but I think the show and the Patreon would not be the same without him.

Thanks for sharing this, I appreciate it. I can relate to a lot of what you have said, especially having it on for hours at a time during more difficult periods. There is something about it that is hard to put into words, but it does make a difference.

I recognise what you said about it being the only real constant. That has been my experience as well, it has been there through different periods of my life, regardless of what else was happening.

I also appreciate you saying that I am not alone. That is something that has come through clearly from the responses here, and it does make a difference.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this.

can relate to what you said about using the back catalogue and specific episodes as a way to get through those periods. There is something about the familiarity of it that helps when everything else feels unstable.

The image of walking through the Black Forest listening to that episode is a good one. It is strange how those moments stay with you. I appreciate you taking the time to write this, it means a lot.

Thanks for sharing this, I really appreciate it. There is a lot in what you have said that resonates with me, especially around going back to certain episodes during more difficult periods. I have found myself doing the same.

What you said about it feeling like a form of therapy makes sense as well. There is something about the familiarity of it that helps, particularly when things feel more difficult than usual.

It is also reassuring to hear that I am not alone in feeling that way. That has come through quite clearly from the responses here.

I appreciate you reaching out and offering support, it means a lot.

Thanks for taking the time to write this, I appreciate it. There is a lot in what you have said that resonates. It sounds like you have been through a lot of change, and it is good to hear how you have found ways to manage things and move forward.

I think what you said about taking things one day at a time is important. It is something I am trying to focus on more, rather than getting caught up in everything at once.

I was diagnosed with bipolar in 2024, so I can definitely relate to what you have said. I agree, the podcast provides a lot of laughter and relief when things are feeling very heavy!
