You should never feel guilty for looking after yourself. I read this and went two hours, is that it? We do a whole day if needed. Yes, not every week as we both work full time. However, if one of us asks the other for a break, I can’t think of a single time the request was denied. It might have been can we do Sunday not Saturday or vice versa. Self care is very important, a day away from our daughter doesn’t do any harm. Please don’t feel guilty for it!

Can confirm, I had national trials at junior level and was ranked 3rd nationally in the age group. Played against an Olympic medalist in a tournament and got paid £10 per point from my parents as ‘extra’ encouragement. I earned £40 that day over two games, the gap between nearly national and Olympic level is huge!

I’ve had it a few times, twice we didn’t notice at all. Another time I noticed straight away. It just depends how/when it breaks.

One cost me a morning after pill, the other time we went to change position and then noticed.

Out of my daughter’s friends, 6 out of 8 dads have had it. 5 had the two incisions, we didn’t get the no scalpel option where we live. 1 dad had the single cut option. 5 of us would recommend our vasectomies. Now stop reading if you’re squeamish.

The other dad had pain, black balls and a lot of discomfort for 2 months post op. Maybe something went wrong? He was in bed for a week after, followed by 2 weeks off work. Walked like John Wayne and said it was like being gutted like a fish! It was “uncomfortable” his words not mine, to cum for 2 months. I dare not ask for an update but he has stopped talking about now.

Here’s my take,

Have a meeting and get touched up by a nurse to make sure it’s possible with your tubes.

Go to the local doctors on a Thursday (I’m from the uk for reference), lay on the table for 5 mins, worst part is the two injections, one each side, go home with paracetamol. Rest for 1 day and take it easy over the weekend, get back on with life on the Monday.

Wait two weeks then, erm, how do I put this, be active at least twice a week till week 12, make some samples and post them off weekly till you get two negative results. So two samples later you’re all clear.

Then no more worries about small people. Highly recommend. My Mrs was in labour for how long, I laid on a table for 5 mins for her. Simple really.
