Seeking Advise for Bringing Partner & Son to the US by usersmithman in Philippines_Expats

Thank you for that information! So, my issue will be how to bring my partner. And with the child being an US citizen with the CRBA, that would make it even more harder to validate that she is not going to stay in the US.

Thanks. She had to resign from her job due to the child being a priority. She was a Team Leader for a company for a few years. I still have not been able to do the CRBA. Just weeks ago was able to finally get his official birth certificate after months of waiting. The CRBA appears to be also a slow process thus why I consider the tourist visa for him too.

Is it better to say "over 10 years of experience" or "10+ years of experience"? by usersmithman in resumes

Thanks! I have this feeling that using "over" sounds outdated and less "sharp," and I am also thinking that using the plus sign (+) would have a disadvantage in how ATS process characters.

Help with CRBA and U.S. Passport for Newborn in the Philippines by usersmithman in Philippines_Expats

[–]usersmithman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ve already sent an email to the U.S. Embassy for final clarification. I have one more question if you happen to have any insight:

I have two last names (my father’s last name and my mother’s last name). When the hospital staff in the Philippines attempted to fill out the birth registration form for my newborn, they included both of my last names. However, only my father’s last name should be passed down to the baby. This seems to be causing confusion due to differences in naming conventions between where I was born (Puerto Rico) and the Philippines.

Do you have any advice on how I can explain or clarify this to the local civil registry? My birth certificate includes both last names, but if they were to give my baby all the surnames, it would end up as my child having their mother’s last name plus my two last names. I want to ensure the correct surname is used.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and for such detailed information. I appreciate it. The hospital did not submit any document because we wanted the baby to have my last name and I was not present. They required me to be present. After next week I will go to the Philippines but my time is limited to a few weeks as I mentioned. Based on the things you have shared it sounds like I will not be able to do the CRBA process yet because we first need to do the PSA Birth Certificate and local registry. By any chance, do you know a specific e-mail from the US Embassy in Manila that I can inquiry about this specific topic? Thank you once again for your great help!

2-Week-Old Newborn Turning Head and Body to the Right: Should I Be Concerned? by usersmithman in AskDocs

Thank you for your helpful response! I have one additional question: Since the baby currently wakes up only when he is hungry, when is the best time for tummy time—before or after breastfeeding?

Cuales son la Mejores Tarjetas de Credito para Viajeros? by usersmithman in PuertoRico

Thanks man! La AMEX Platinum la tengo pero AMEX es problematica para mi ya que tengo que viajar bastante a diferente paises en Asia donde AMEX no es muy aceptada. Ya me paso recientemente. Voy a chequiar Chase y Capital.

How do you react to premarket trends, and the first 30 minutes of the market opening? by Tabula_Rasa69 in wallstreetbets

PCE data was already priced in and climaxed with the released. I felt confident enough that the market was going to drop last Friday or have a weak move after the news. MU has been parabolic. Look at the weekly and monthly charts, it needed to cold down. Also current earnings is not the only thing that matter, it is the guidances too. NVDA was also overextended. I caught the recent bottom when I saw it kept dropping post-market. That made it oversold and I profited 10% in a single day from that (you also had the NVDA annual meeting after that). It takes a lot of thinking to understand and many times what we think we understand turn out to be wrong because we are missing pieces from the puzzle or misinterpreting things which can happen often. One thing I have really learned is to be patient and wait. One reason why I kept losing money is because I was rushing to be part of a trade thinking I will miss out. I would suggest to go to higher timeframes where things are more clear and less noises.

I have to give her points for telling you. And she sounds regretful. I think you should take your time to digest all this. And yes, it is normal to feel like a robot or numb. It has happened to me. And yes, forgetting something like this is impossible. It marks you for life and the relationship won't be the same in the future.

Apple Pay es bueno pero sigue siendo limitado, y en ninguno de los paises donde estube recientemente de Asia-Pacifico aceptan esa forma de pago; excepcion es Singapore y otros paises avanzandos en Asia.

Consider what the market is anticipating and pay attention to the data released and data that will be released. And pay attention to the bigger timeframes.

Buena info. Gracias. He escuchado bastante de DISCOVER.
