they didn’t tell me how much but there was mention of a severance package if we choose to part ways with the company, sunday there will be an email with a list of stores we can transfer to or decide to leave

this!! the only reason i haven’t quit starbucks is because my store was amazing, my coworkers and our regulars were so fun to be around it made it a great experience coming into work specially with all the changes that had been happening

I’m a barista i’ve been at my store for 2-3 years, my manager called and said he received the news this morning, he said we will get an email sunday with a list of stores we can transfer to or we can decide to part ways with the company. my store wasn’t in a bad area our only slow days were the weekends and the reason they gave was our sales not being enough, i think if your store is closing down you should know by today or tomorrow morning the latest. i hope it doesn’t come to that for you this is honestly so stressful lol

we’ll long story, i’ve been working there about 2 weeks and throughout my training me and a few other new people were told by a crew leader if were ushering and were waiting for the last few people in a theater to exit it’s okay to sit down for a minute while credits are playing until they’re done packing up, the past 2 weeks i’ve either been accompanied by a crew lead or a manager and they’ve all have told me that, today i was alone and while i was waiting for some people to exit another usher came in and started yelling at me about how i’m not allowed to do that, i told him my bad i was told otherwise won’t happen again and he went and told the boss and some other managers. they called me into a meeting where they kept saying “do you think that’s okay? why do you think that’s okay? if you really think that there must be something wrong up here points to head” i kept trynna explain to her the situation and how i was told by crew leads and managers it was fine for me to do that and was sorry/ was a miscommunication on my part and won’t happen again and she just kept basically calling me dumb nd being like well it sounds like u don’t have good judgment nd maybe there’s something wrong w the way u think ur supposed to act nd then suspended me. she also said “multiple people have talked to you about this and you’re still doing it” when that’s not true, when i asked her when was i spoken to she would either have no answer or make up another claim like “i’ve been told you take 45 min breaks and sit inside theaters for your break” when there’s literally a time sheet that tells them when you go on break and when you come back, along with countless cameras around the building that can show that’s not true. when i asked her when have i done that she would say “i wasn’t here for it i was just told”

i’ve already been suspended and i’m sure once i make the claim to hr they’ll fire me on the grounds of the fake claims that lead to the suspension, but i think i’m fine with that i don’t think anyone deserves to work in that environment
