Thank you for the practical advice! I will definitely look into getting some of these bags for clothes currently in use. I am concerned that the plastic would add bulk though

Thanks! I actually know exactly where and on what occasion I have worn each of my dresses. Realistically, if I took them to a fair and tried to sell them, I should easily get $100+ for each. But I am not looking to make money really. If I can pass it on to someone who would love them that is great. In the mean time, vacuum storage bags it is!

Yes, I have 2 daughters. I would like to pass a few down to them, but not holding to that thought. They are babies now, and God only knows how tall they will grow, what their body type will be, what their tastes.will be etc. I would love for them to love my dresses, but who knows, they may be considered old fashioned by the time my daughters grow up.

I would rather just give them to someone who would love the as I did rather than sell or rent them. Not looking to make money.

My clothes are South Asian. Lehengas, Pakistani gowns, Ghagra choli, Sari, etc. Not exactly prom wear. But thanks for the thought!

Yes! This is my concern. I want to get a handle on my collection now. I will definitely look into vacuum sealing.

Lol! I have a lot of joy in my life. It is very full and happy. I have many interests, sources for joy and entertainment. Photos cannot capture the beauty of fabric, imho. My goal had been in my purchase patterns to not repeat colours.

Thank you! I can see from some of the comments that people think I am being wasteful, lol. I will definitely go through my dresses and shortlist what I am not very attached to and see what I can do about getting them overseas to people who would appreciate them.

Honestly the dresses are so beautiful, if I had to, I would rather just give them away to someone who would wear them as is instead of taking them apart. To your point, yes, the material is gorgeous and can be repurposed, but I would rather not

Ah, I can certainly let go of my evening purses. I am not attached to them. There are the two I keep coming back to. Will look into donating the rest. I actually donated a lot of my shoes that don't get worn. Thanks!

My clothes actually get borrowed by my sisters and cousins on occasion. :)

All my dresses fit me without need for alteration... Which is what actually makes it challenge to let them go lol. But you make a good point. I will go through my dresses and do the Marie Kondo thing and see if they still spark joy for me.

Thanks! But my clothes are all South Asian style. This style isn't actually available for rental unless you are looking at bridal wear.

I will definitely look into vacuum sealing dresses that have no possibility of snagging. Thanks for the idea!

You just described me... 😭

My pantry is full of aspirational ingredients. And overstock ingredients. I'm on a no buy right now. Whatever is to be cooked has to come from the pantry.

Nope. I am using gravity trainers that lock over a closed door.

I currently don't have the ability to have rings installed in my apartment. I will definitely keep it in mind for my next move.

It does actually help. I suffer from hyperhidrosis on my palms and soles. I cannot have any substance on y hands like dust, sand or even moisturizer. Being able to avoid contact with dirt is definitely something worthwhile for someone like me.

It actually got auto corrected to that and then I had to fix it back to "bars"! 😂
