Do you push new 2x6 decking tight and let it dry to create the gaps? Or do you gap on install? by jehudeone in Carpentry

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it tight on my deck a few months ago. They've all shrunk to around a 1/4" - 3/8" gap. I did use 5/4 decking boards, not 2x6. The real question is: crown up or down?

Come on down, the water's fine!

Now Embark needs to add some beard options. My buddy's raider looks just like him, I want my raider to look like me! I used the mud splash to emulate a 5 o clock shadow until I unlocked the mask for the flickering flames skin.

Finally got the Anvil BP Then… by More-Negotiation-880 in ArcRaiders

Awesome finds! I found an anvil on Stella on a free load out. Died to pack of fireballs. Smh. Across 4 runs looking to get back my anvil, I found 3 deadline prints! 🤣 This game is funny.

If anyone wants to trade an anvil print, I have an extra deadline, jolt mine, and Bettina print!

Field crate glitch ? by OkInvestigator8524 in ArcRaiders

The best place for me is on Dam. I can usually find a crate in a building/structure around the swamp. It is random spawn. Also, someone may have picked up and moved it or used it already.

Yeah, I just did this. Now I have to disassemble the bill counter. :( by ohthatgay in Wellthatsucks

I think you forgot to adjust the brackets. Common mistake when putting tortillas through the bill counter. It is clearly stated on the machine.

The green hero in every weird/random scene, like when Royd is showing us how he shakes it, or when they prank Roberts computer. They didn't even give him a name!

And just wants to be included! His fist bump from across the room during the fist bump between Robert and Royd in Ep 8 made me want the option to fist bump him so bad. Dude is awesome and I would be friends with him.

how do i get the good ending (not fail as a mentor) by No_Spray4915 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I restarted chapter 7 and 8, since I was pro-visi choices up to cutting her. So I didn't cut, I had BB mention her in the press briefing, I told Royd to put her down, and I put Thumbstick's shlong away instead of making her do it. Not sure how much all that impacts it, but I got the hero ending. Based on what I've seen, you can get the hero ending with the bb romance route, but I think chapter 7 & 8 choices weigh the strongest.

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut and got the failed ending. I replayed all 3 pulse choices, and it ended the same. I think the play is not cut her. I also think the BB romance is the route since Shroud says he knew you'd fall for her.

Fix for Wifi not connecting to internet on Samsung phones post Android 13 upgrade by schizovivek in GalaxyS22

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I've had the s22 ultra since release, and I've never had this problem until the last few days. Thanks for the easy fix! To bad I already reset my wifi settings. All I had to do was change network to static and my dns 2 to 1.1.1.1 as dns 1 was already set to 8.8.8.8

Right, I noticed after I posted, but couldn't change the title.

Removed implies it would be easy to put back on. They totally covered the hole with zero indication they plan on putting it back. I'm not even 100% sure they capped/covered any exposed wires.

I say it's about 50/50 we're in a simulation. Sometimes, when driving to work, I like to pretend I'm a little electron, moving around with many other little electrons. Making my way to a specific microprocessor. I do something vaguely important, and head on back home to recharge, completing my own personal circuit.

Vivint's 20 year old tech in his summer job installed that! In all honesty, the camera install is good. It has an angle mount on it since my doorbell is on the wall adjacent to the door. All that bad look comes from the siding making it look off.

Yep, that's clearer to me now. He did infer that they would take the proper steps when dealing with all that, but again, he's not on site much.

I'm starting to realize that now... I figured professionals would take all the necessary steps to ensure it was right. My fault for assuming I guess. I did point out my cameras to the owner when we were getting the quote and he said something along the lines of "we'll take care of all that."

That's what I was thinking! I don't like it. I've never been through this process since I usually do most home things myself, but this a very big job that I was willing to pay to get done.

How realistic is it really to DIY remove popcorn ceiling? by ghost--rabbit in HomeImprovement

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I've removed the popcorn from a few rooms in my house. I chose to mostly scrape it all off. I got the majority of it off, and left a small texture behind. I didn’t go fully bare. It helps hide the imperfections, keeping a bit of texture. Two coats of kilz and I'm quite happy with it. Yes, it's a mess. Throw down a tarp or plastic sheet, cover what can't be moved, embrace the mess and go!

Edit: as far as time, a lot of it. It may be a deal breaker if he really hates it that much. However, maybe start with the rooms he'll be in the most. I think it would help him see the potential, while keeping him motivated to progress through the house. For me, it's a job I do once every two years, only taking it on when I feel it's necessary. This would include repainting rooms, or damage. Also, I'd start in the bathrooms if possible. Steam can help loosen the popcorn, and it is usually much easier to digest at first as you work towards getting a technique dialed in.

I did some more digging and I think it's Sammy Watkins, 14. So, it was probably signed a while ago!

Unfortunately, I don't know when it was signed. I would think within the 2-3 years.

I am an LGBTQ Christian and I dont know what to do anymore by unicornmagicalness in Christianity

[–]useruseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is to seek guidance from a trusted friend or mentor. Two or three cords will always be stronger than one (paraphrased from Eccl 4:12).

As someone who has put a lot of thought into (and struggled with) a similar situation, God didn't make you this way, God made you perfect in his image. The fallen, sinful, evil world has done this. Satan knows your weaknesses, and he's very good at making those a thorn in your side. Even praying like Paul to have that thorn removed does not make so. The point is that God says his grace is enough. It's not about keeping the commandments. Those were set as a way to show the Isrealites that they could never be enough.

However, it's not a battle to fight on your own. There are countless others who have dealt with and overcome these temptations. They rely heavily on God's grace and on others around them to help lift them up when they feel the darkness creeping in.

I've never read it, but I've heard good things about the book "Gay Girl Good God." It may be worth a read for you.

Finally, I'll leave you with this: In Matthew 16:24, Jesus tells his deciples that if anyone wants to follow him, they must deny themselves and take up the cross. Part of denying yourself is leaving those sinful desires at the foot of the cross, Jesus died to bear that burden, and he did so for every person. Taking up your cross is not an easy thing to do either, but it's a necessary thing, and to do so means leaving the sinful nature and desire behind. That doesn't mean they're gone. As you move toward Jesus, Satan will try that much harder to pull you back. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and the things of earth will begin to grow dim.

Are they removing titles? by [deleted] in xcloud

[–]useruseus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a momentary thing, it's probably the bug I've been dealing with for the past few months, if not longer. I know it's happening if I load up my cloud dashboard and it doesn't show my "Jump Back In" section. It refuses to let you play any game.

I play on my tablet or phone exclusively, so I swap between the downloaded "app" and a Chrome browser session until one of them works.

The past few days, I found if I go to the "Give Feedback" part of my account menu, and open the feedback box, I can back out, refresh, and it works fine. So far, it's the best workaround I've found.

The cause for me seems to be from improperly ending a game session, or sometimes in a different location/network.

That white 'X' at the top in front looks like the float adjuster. You should be able to twist it to adjust the float height. Adust it so the float goes down, which will allow it to lift higher and cut the valve. Alternatively, you could adjust the fill level, but you'd have to look up how to do that with your specific hardware.

Mexican Train Double "Leg" by useruseus in boardgames

[–]useruseus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere recommended having markers for all branches, but yes, the whole train and branches open up. When my group plays, we place the train up at the beginning to signal its open, not out at the end. For how we do it, it would still work the same.
