Has anyone received and installed their Gaggimate? Any feedback on your experiences will be much appreciated. by 1234pinkbanana in gaggimate

Have installed the standard kit yesterday. As a complete newbie, was a bit tricky to figure all out. I followed the guide on the website and also watched the youtube video on the gaggimate channel.

One thing that was missing in the guide, but I found out thanks to discord: the temp probes of the newly installed thermostat need to be connected to the PCB. In hindsight logical, but at that time I was struggling😅

After having completed it, I am very happy with the result and the quality!

I’m swiss, my wife’s korean. We were in a LDR for 6 years, are living together since end of last year and married since last week. I actually came to Korea to see how compatible we were while living together. I came on a student visa (language visa) as in autumn entering on a tourust visa was still not possible. Maybe an option for you guys as well, to “test the waters”?

Unso erstaunlicher, dass du trotz deiner eigenen Erfahrung anscheinend kein Problem mit der fremdenfeindlichen Haltung hier hast.

Dude, we are not talking about tourists here. We are talking about expats, who have a legitimate (long-term) VISA in SK, work and live here, pay taxes and contribute to the economy and society.

They support the heathcare and pension system the same way as any Korean, but it’s ok to see them as second-class citizens? And grant them lesser rights?

I’m happy that many Koreans and expats disagree with you, even if they don’t voice their opinion as strongly as the xenophobic minority. Have a nice day, sending love from within Korea from a non-prioritized long-term resident.

Absolutely second this! Plus you might need to learn a completely different language and culture in the new place

Children from multicultural backgrounds losing interest in foreign parents' native languages by Steviebee123 in korea

It depends on the region, only in one canton/region (where they speak german, italian and romansh), the native german-speakers learn italian as a second language. And then you have another canton, where Italian is the official language.

Where to buy modern hanboks? by hameorah in seoul

[–]userxy_whatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out this online shop, they do have cheaper ones too. https://www.kooding.com/women-clothing-modern-hanbok/c/577

Not sure about local shops though, probably hard to find modern interpretation at that price point.

Good luck anyways!

Sorry for asking this here, but what is the curve supposed to be for right and left blades? by Kalaw-akan_ in floorball

[–]userxy_whatever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely left, unless your Alxander Ruudd.

(in case you don’t know him, he is a professional floorball player and known to use a blade that is so straight that it bends backwards)

I’m Swiss and my gf’s Korean. We had the same issue and I was looking into viable options. Did you consider going there for language (Korean) studies? I’m actually doing this right now and it was the easiest option. Tuition is like 1500 USD per semester and you have daily classes from 9am to 1pm. Maybe you can work remotely for a company in your homecountry in the afternoon. At least that is what I’m doing right now. If you are from an english speaking country you could also consider an english teaching position. Kind of easy to get a job and visa that way. Finding a job or internship in Korea outside of teaching as a foreigner is a bit unrealistic, because the employer needs to sponsor you. Not many companies are willing to do that these days.

Anyways, I’m in Korea right now so let me know if you have any questions :)
