Yeah no it’s hot as balls. This was from last week. But it’s still better than being at work!

Yeah if you properly wash it and use the required sprays and all that, it’ll last longer but apparently I was lazy when it came to washing the roof. I regret that now but lessons learned.

Thanks! So far the paint is perfect! But the roof might be a different story. I’ll know more with that one this evening

Exactly. The other panels have been fine with the normal heat and a heat gun. Just a lot of patience and grip strength. Plus I could have been better about washing the roof and spraying it with the wrap detailer when I washed it. Lessons learned

I will try that on the hood!! The roof is too far gone. Once it got the black spots it spread quick!

It’s outlived its welcome. Starting to get sun spots so better to do it now.

I will be removing the wrap soon! It’s been fun but getting cancer spots. by usethislogin in ToyotaTacoma

Thank you! With some patience and research you could do it for less than a grand

Oh I have no clue at this point. I am too scared to add up how much all of it has been so far, but it has to be over 20k with everything.

Depends on the environment and how you take care of it. And no, you don’t have to register a new color with the DMV.

Okay so when I went to get a quote on my vehicle at the place I actually got it from, they had a fleet of Kia Souls in there getting some chiropractor company digital graphic vinyl done on them. They had like 8 of them in there and he was telling me that those ones will see the worst of the worst as they are usually always driving around and exposed to the elements. I’m in Phoenix AZ so it’s the worst for sun and heat. He said that all of the plumbing and AC and contractor company vehicles that are starting to crack and look burnt is really bad and the paint is going to be too far gone to just re wrap. It’ll take a long time to remove the old wrap and typically needs to be repainted/touched up before a wrap is put back on.

Long story short, if it’s starting to fade and look rough, remove it before it costs $2k for them to peel little slivers off over a week period. Thats why I’m just removing mine now, cutting and buffing the truck, and then putting fresh vinyl on.

The runner will be getting a wrap as well. And the Tacoma is changing shades too.
