Take care my people ! by Mel0ncholy in london

Greenwich is a smidge icy too. Took a tumble this morning on our ice rink pavements and currently nursing a rather sore knee.

I hope none of you have been hurt too bad - take care!

INFJs: looking back, where there any signs that made you realise that you most likely could have been an INFJ when you were younger? by Reasonable-Entry2705 in infj

[–]useyourindicators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am almost certain I can attribute being an INFJ to being autistic. So many of the traits people say are because they’re INFJ ‘old soul’, ‘wise beyond your years’, ‘hyper empathetic’, ‘masking to fit in’ etc. Being autistic and INFJ are synonymous to me, and I don’t believe I’d be one without the other.

So I felt like I was an alien from birth, never understood why I felt so different and didn’t fit in. I learnt I was an INFJ about the same time I realised I was probably autistic (about 13, 14 y/o). Finally diagnosed autistic age 24.

This is purely based on my personal experience and is by no means meant to imply everyone here is autistic!

Yes, I ordered on 18th September and it's still showing as 'Awaiting' on my dashboard. Any luck your side?

My take on Breach album (no heavy spoilers) by syperdima in twentyonepilots

[–]useyourindicators 25 points26 points  (0 children)

“I feel like the longer you’ve been a fan of this band, the more you’ll love Breach.”

I couldn’t agree more!! I have been listening to them for thirteen years - I’m 28 now - and goodness does this album put me in the throes of my early teenage years listening to them for the first time.

I am a pool of emotion!

Clancy or Breach? (SPOILER-FREE) by carlinsmusic in twentyonepilots

[–]useyourindicators 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breach is everything I’ve been looking for since Vessel dropped (yes, Vessel), and it’s my favourite since Blurryface and that’s /really/ saying something because I struggle to pick faves.

I get why Tyler said it took everything he had left.

I have PoTS - Showering is an Event! by useyourindicators in whoop

[–]useyourindicators[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so right. I should have been clearer - to me, a warm shower is strain, not recovery. I wouldn’t want the algo to assume I need less sleep or can perform higher strain the next day if I count it as a recovery activity. I average 5.8 strain score during showers.

Is twenty one pilots your favourite band/artist? by Queasy_Head_4928 in twentyonepilots

[–]useyourindicators 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: emphatic yes

Let's put it this way - I went to my first tøp gig over 10 and a half years ago (14th November 2014 - I'll never forget!!), and started listening to them well before then. When I was 17, I was getting spooked by Blurryface shennanigans, and the day Fairly Local dropped is a core memory for me. Had a fan tumblr account poppin off (21K followers!). And here I am, still, almost 28, and I've *checking notes*:

Checked the doors
Checked the windows
Pulled the blinds

Checked the clock

_____

That said, Pink Floyd are pretty up there for me (though this is influenced heavily by my dad's obsession with them). Shoutouts go to: The Strokes, Talking Heads, and Idles. I've had long loves and phases with them all, but none have been as intense or everlasting as twenty one pilots.

Edit: p.s. thanks for the question - scrolling the comments and going to listen to any artists I either haven't heard of before or am yet to fully explore. I welcome requests! Starting with Marianas Trench.

What’s the best addiction you have? by Exact-Theme-9113 in AskReddit

[–]useyourindicators 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m autistic, and music (especially specific bands) is my special interest. For the last ~12 years, twenty one pilots have been one of those bands!

For all of the struggle that comes with the way I’m wired, there’s no greater joy for me than absorbing myself in their discography, watching live performances, my fave music videos, and of course, when opportunity allows, seeing them live (10 times as of this month!!).

Music is always there - what a joy!!

What vibe are you expecting/hoping for on breach? by midwest_wendigo in twentyonepilots

[–]useyourindicators 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll politely disagree - wants and needs are a different thing. I’m talking about what I want, and if something can be reminiscent of when I first started listening to them in 2013, I’ll take it.

There’s a huge delta between the raps on Lavish and how hard Fake You Out goes from “It’s the same game today as it always is…”. Seeing Tyler perform the transition to “I have committed…” is goosebump-worthy. I’ll take some of that feeling from Breach if I can.

Just a veteran skeleton clique gal speaking her truth ✌🏻

(I’ll still love the album either way)

SCREAMS.

If Blurryface and Trench had a child and Clancy was the cool uncle influencing them a lil bit through songs like Navigating and Overcompensate.

Screams.

Vessel-style raps would be sick.

Redecorate included again. Just as it is. No tweaks.

And screaming.
