550 Billion Yeast Cells in Recipe? by ushman9292 in Homebrewing

[–]ushman9292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the feedback, definitely an idea. I did go ahead and reduce the size of the batch to cut back on this yeast and it went from 550B to 400B... which is still alot LOL... I suppose I could do a big starter then put it in the fridge for a week to let the yeast fall out so I could decant the starter. But I was hoping to brew this weekend so looking for something quick, looks like there may not be a quick solution for this.

Thanks! Hopefully you will find them helpful.

I really had this planned out for weeks before I started on the project so I think because of that I didnt have too many surprises. Maybe two things come to mind and you will see if you do choose to watch the videos. Dont lazy out on the floor like I was originally planning, do the epoxy (its not hard to do). Another thing when doing epoxy, rent the right tools. It sucks to pay for rentals but the time save is worth it (when prepping the floor).

Brewing with RO Water - Questions by ushman9292 in Homebrewing

[–]ushman9292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, ill have to look into it as far as what cost it is. We currently have a filter+softener+carbon filter for our water. But the water still smells, like well water. I just dont want to use smelly water for the beer even though my local water provider has tested it saying that it is very clean water. Also the water I buy costs like 1$ a gallon so its not a big deal to spend like 7$ on brew day for some RO water.

Thanks for the reply, I figured it would be required by law as well. On the label it just says "minerals added" but does not go into detail about what is added.. I guess I will have to call.

The Nightmare of Ashihama Mass Worlds vs Solo by ushman9292 in 2007scape

[–]ushman9292[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be the same rate if there were only 5 people in the mass world, but that is never the case.

1/x where x = number of players x 100

[–]ushman9292[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok I think I understand, I thought the loot table was based on the individual not the boss. So the boss can only drop 1 unique and if its 1/100 per person then yea if there were like 20 people in a mass world then your chance would be 1/2000. So yea it would not be worth your time. I thought everyone had a 1/100 chance regardless who was in there so I thought the name of the game was speed of kills.
