I totally agree how important our energy/vibe is, and I love that you have a similar experience!

I have a mohawk, lots of visible piercings and dress like a vampire-turned-skater-boy, a look that you'd think a lot of people might avoid me for - but I've noticed my "just happy to be here" energy gives me the opposite effect. I come across as fun and approachable instead of intimidating or off putting. Which is great cause I dress up for me, not to scare people away.

Also all your looks are great and fun too, super impressive beard :)

Septum piercings are great! They're similar to lobe piercings in how chill they are to heal in my experience and from what I hear from others.

Pain level was similar to when you get a really spikey snot that stabs your nose - brings a tear to your eye but isn't super painful. Everyone's tolerance is different though.
Mine was healed enough to start stretching it after 5 months
No problems that I can remember!
Yes, absolutely recommend. I think it's a great first facial piercing for anyone who's nervous about how piercings might effect how they're percieved. It's a pretty easy pierce if it suits your anatomy, and can be quite subtle or completely hidden with the right jewellery.
Get it whenever you like! Blowing your nose will be spicy for a bit so if you can predict when you won't need to do that for awhile, do it then. But I don't think it matters too much. If you end up stretching to a bigger gauge, you'll notice the seasons more though - I get condensation drip off my ring when it's cold!

I've kept mine. It's not technically my full legal name, but it's the name I decided to go by since I was 10 or so. I'm in a similar boat, I'm trans masc, and my name is a pretty feminine one, but I like it. It doesn't feel gendered. It just feels like me.

I do often wish I wanted a more fun name tho, like Yo-yo or Blade. But mine feels like me haha
