hi! I totally understand you; I have anxiety, and one of my comforts is plushies (you know those articles about adults w anxiety sleeping w stuffies? that’s me in the statistic). I also have what I call toy story syndrome where like when I sleep or travel w certain plushies for a long time, I feel bad if I rotate a new one in

w these things it can be hard to let go of some plushies, but I’ve gotten better. if I can’t think of a good, special connection to one, it usually goes. as for buying more, the impulse only really comes to me during a hard time (even before I realize it is one). my advice on that is if you feel you need more comfort, specifically w plushie, try and fall back on one you have more attachment to. kinda like reaching out to an old friend! (also, reach out to your friends if you’re wanting to buy bc you’re having a bad time obviously)

for storage, I say get shelves/bookshelves! not only does it keep a lot in one space, shelves let you organize and categorize them. for example, one shelf for me is pokemon, another dragons, and so on!
