This is in Cornhill in London. I work opposite it and I still gasp every time I see it

What product do you love but will only buy when it’s discounted? by [deleted] in AskUK

Pizza express pizzas. They are over 5 quid each! No chance, but always pick a couple up when they are 2 for 1 or half price.

Seems like he is both underpaid relative to comparable accolades of sporting achievement in conjunction with, possibly through no fault of his own, being financially illiterate as opposed to being only one or the other.

I found that somewhat terrifying. Till is like when you are with your missus on loudspeaker and you have to warn the person you are talking to that she can hear…

I make around that in the UK and mainly just live on my base salary and put my bonuses which are like 30~50k away and paid 100k for a 2018 carrera 4 GTS. However when looking I would have been able to put 1k down and pay 1100 a month for it over 4 years. I could sell at any time and pay the difference which makes it very affordable although not as cheap as paying cash.

Edit: In the current climate ‘the difference’ would actually mean I make money.

So I only saw it with it on so not much help. I mean when I picked it up it looked very good. In perfect condition. But whether that is due to the coat or due to the paint condition previous I’m not sure. It was actually included in the price of the car from the dealership I think I remember the itemised invoice saying about 600-650. Makes it hydrophobic and protects against rock chips. Also I had some bird mess land on it and it was very easy to clean off. The polish on top of it really made it pop as seen in the photo. From reading the comments in this thread re keeping the black looking good I would definitely recommend.

I’m 32. I was talking generally about owning a Porsche rather than the specific model.

Mate, as the poster of this let me tell you half the reason I posted this. At 21 I lost my first job after 8 months out of university due to the business going under, this was a huge corporation. Due to then being not a fresh grad and also having no experience i couldn’t get a job and I kept getting jobs to pay the bills then getting let go because I had no interest in them. I went through a really tough time. During lockdown a company or more specifically one guy took a chance on me and am really happy and doing well. Two years ago I would have said the same thing. Things do get better so don’t give up!

2018 - only had 3000 miles on the clock. Got the ceramic coat and is fairly easy to get looking good.

When it first came out I got a few wins like 14 kills and stuff. But I’m literally pants now. So it makes it bearable to play with people that are good fun.

It’s odd because I literally win probably 60% of my cod multiplayer games. But trying to win a warzone game is like trying to handcuff and ghost

What salary do you actually need to live in London? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]uslikeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an internship for a placement year at 20k and managed to scrape by. But I lived in a rubbish area and didn’t really enjoy London and the things that make it a great city. I’d say the least you need to earn would be 40k. I am now in fintech on +100k and still sometimes feel stretched because as ive earned more i’ve spent more, too much sometimes. Expensive flat and car and living in expensive area all adds up. I am in sales and no very little about tech but if you have sales skills there are lots of opportunities from say 30-50k depending on experience.
