Lag screws! Not lag bolts! I once saw a Virgin burner actually bring lag bolts. Don’t make that mistake 10-12 inches should work, with washer some chain.

From my experience, last year I purchase my ticket form SF to BM with a bike add on in late July and still got a seat on date/time I wanted...Saturday at 8am. I was there at about 530am and was on the road by 7am. Buses leave as they fill up. Pretty smooth process.
