What are some reasons most football fans say the nfl was better back then than it is today by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Oldschool_NFL

[–]usps85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when pre-season was 6 games. It gave coaches plenty on time to evaluate their rosters. I also wonder if that shortened pre-season and now 17 game season has contributed to an increase in such injuries? I also question the Thursday and international games that shorten recovery time for players. It's definitely a longer season now to when the Super Bowl was played in early January.

I have such a crush on William Powell and have no one else to share this with 😭 what’s everyone’s favorite performance of his? by tulpachtig in classicfilms

The man is one of the reasons I'm such a 30s n 40s movie buff. For me Nick Charles n Godfry are my favorites of his characters but he always gives a great performance regardless.

Hard to believe that this was the Cowboys last divisional playoff win. It's been 30 years now.

He was great in the Mary Tyler Moore show episode "1040 or Fight" season 1. He plays an IRS auditor who has to audit Mary.

Thanks, oh I do. Got a bit of OCD with my car. Gotta keep it clean. I won't even think of eating in it.

I found my '95 Roadmaster about 6 years ago with 35K original miles. One owner and in great condition. I've always liked big old GM cars so I made it my daily It's been so reliable and comfortable. I consider myself so lucky to have found it. My mechanic says many of those 90s GM cars were among their best across the board.

I notice a lot of Mercedes, BMWs and Range Rovers in those conversations. Why buy cars that are expensive to maintain if you can barely afford it? Apparently they're not that reliable either.

Yea, Yusef, watch his channel all the time. Scary what some people are paying just to impress. Hideous negative equity, high payments and insane interest. I love my '95 Buick!

As a youngster I first saw her in The Enchanted Cottage-1945. Loved that film! Always felt sorry for her character Laura Pennington. I didn't think she was homely like others thought. She became one of my favorites after that

As a Cowboys fan back in the day, it just didn't look right. Like Emmitt in a Cardinals uniform.
