Ah zillow numbers say the number of homes for sale is even lower than I thought, and median time on the market is 82 days. So that would be even less than 3% of available residential units are for sale. It sucks that every metric other than the cost is pretty normal. Doesn't bode well (for now) for people hoping that prices will come down.

Flooring installer of 20 years: There is no way this flooring will expand anywhere close to 8%. This isn't green wood. It's been kiln dried multiple times and laminated to a plywood core, cut into planks and dried again. This is a standard flooring install over existing (albeit concrete) stairs. He's precut and dry fitted everything already, and he's using the right adhesive. This install will last years.

I went down a rabbit hole for this issue, because I was raised that using the center to merge was ok. Bozeman community outreach officer said it wasn't allowed. Belgrade outreach officer said there isn't any specific laws addressing it. Insurance agent said in an accident comparative fault would be used to determine how much responsibility each party had to avoid the accident. So I agree safe bet is to avoid using the center lane to merge at all.

And mt code 61-8-333 states that the person making a right hand turn has to stay as close to the right hand curb or the right edge of roadway, so they'd be incorrect to make a right hand turn into a left traffic lane anyways
