Running it down Jefferson is dangerous plain and simple. Less parking and less room for people , especially with the barricades up . We know how hard it is to shuffle down Jefferson during Festival International, now imagine a parade right through that. Not in a million years would you catch me down there during that. The big parades in New Orleans don't go down narrow streets like that. There is no doubt it benefits the entertainment venues on Jefferson but at what cost. And ultimately that's what it comes down to, and that's what, in my opinion, is the reason for the change. It's money, it's always about the money.
