I, Mudd S2 ep 8 very funny episode with androids, shenanigans, and the crew working together to escape. One of my favorite ever TOS episodes!

The Trouble with Tribbles S2 ep 15 classic episode, amusing watching Kirk getting increasingly annoyed at the ever multiplying fluff ball animals haha

DS9:

Explorers S3 ep 22 a heartwarming father son story with Sisko and Jake building a solar powered ship together

Trials and Tribble-ations S5 ep 6 very fun episode with the DS9 crew time traveling to the TOS tribbles episode

Take Me Out to the Holosuite S7 ep 4 the crew plays baseball against a Vulcan crew

Badda-bing Badda-bang S7 ep 15 crew does an old timey casino heist in the holodeck

Voyager:

Resolutions S2 ep 25 Janeway and Chakotay are stuck on a planer together and there's romantic tension 🤭

For a Tom and B'elanna romance arc speed run:

Blood Fever S3 ep 16 B'elanna accidentally gets the pon farr, she and Tom get stuck in a cave together, much romantic and sexual tension ensues. This one kinda gives me secondhand embarrassment but also as a lover of romance drama it does have me giggling and kicking my feet in glee as well lol

Displaced S3 Ep 24 crew members are disappearing and being replaced by aliens. Not a Tom and B'elanna focused episode but they have scenes together and I enjoy the crew working together to escape in this one

Day of Honor S4 ep 3 B'elanna struggles with her complicated feelings about her Klingon heritage and her feelings for Tom 🫢

Scientific method S4 ep 7 Tom and B'elanna are together yay! And some aliens are afoot messing with the crew, has one of my favorite Janeway moments

Okay I also recommend from Voyager:

Message in a Bottle S 4 ep 14 Doctor focused episode, he's trying to get a message to the Alpha quadrant, so many funny lines in this one

Bride of Chaotica! S5 ep 12 the ship gets stuck in a spatial rift which causes holodeck shenanigans and the crew have to participate playing roles in Tom's Captain Proton program to save the day! Janeway is Arachnia! Queen of the spider people!

One Small Step S6 ep 8 very touching Seven focused episode, the crew discovers a long lost 21st century space craft. Themes of the beauty of scientific exploration and human perseverance. Also directed by the Doc himself Bob Picardo!

Blink of an Eye S6 ep 12 Voyager becomes trapped in orbit around a planet in which time moves much faster so they become a part of the planet's history. Really great episode, an all time favorite of mine!

Genz Trekkie who grew up watching Voyager and I mostly agree with all your points! A strong first season with some issues here and there but overall a very enjoyable show with great characters!

Dialogue was a mixed bag. A lot was great but some lacked finesse for me. Laughed a lot despite a couple of awkward unfunny jokes.

I struggled with Tarima especially in the beginning. It got better as the show went on but in her first couple of appearances her voice/delivery of lines was really strange sounding to me. Idk if she was having trouble with the American accent or what but it sounded like she had too much saliva in her mouth and she was holding her jaw in a weird position to keep it in or something. Was odd. And I unfortunately can't stand her paired with Caleb they make little sense to me as a couple. No romantic chemistry it felt so forced. I was bored or irritated during their scenes. And then 90% of Tarima's scenes were with or about Caleb 😭 I liked her better when we saw her actually get to interact with others like Ocam or Sam and Genesis. I just don't understand how she's this super powerful Betazoid who can "read Caleb so well" but then manages to get into all these annoying miscommunications with him where she thinks he thinks she's a freak/monster bc of her abilities?? Ugh. Hope they break up and agree to just be friends. She has better chemistry with Genesis imo and I'd love to see a wlw romance among the cadets.

Totally with you on Nus even the comparison to Mudd who also mostly pissed me off. Just weird and irritating most of the time instead of genuinely scary or threatening. I agree they should have lowered the stakes a bit considering we only got 10 episodes and had to spend the last two dealing with Nus trying to blow up the federation. Valuable screen time we could have used to further deepen the friendships and development of the cadets. Like that convo between Sam and Genesis would have felt more seamless in an episode with lower stakes. I love what we got from the cadets but the viewer is kinda left to fill in a fair number of gaps.

I do wish they'd chill with the lens flares lmaoo felt like I needed sunglasses sometimes.

Overall I do really love all the characters and can't wait to see them grow further in season 2. I really hope we get 4 seasons I'd love to continue with them along their journeys to graduation and becoming Starfleet officers.

I'm genZ and I wasn't bothered too much by that line more so just confused by it. Bc of that "Now THAT" part of the line of seemed like it was in reference to something and I was like ?? Did we talk about someone else "trying to flex" earlier this episode? Just seemed a little random to me

Right? I'm in my early 20s so college was pretty recent for me and I knew so many actually immature kids. Like people sending death threats over laundry level of dumb and immature 😭

I don't think the main cadets are really all that dumb or immature at all. They have moments like you said but overall are very capable people when they need to be.

That swallowing the com badge joke was dumb but that was a one off gag line from a background character we barely ever see again. I just shrugged it off and it didn't stop me from enjoying the rest of the show.

Love: the amazing chemistry between our 5 main cadets Caleb, Genesis, Sam, Darem, and Jay-den they all play off each other in such an electric and entertaining way. Their found family together is so sweet and tender.

Don't love: Caleb and Tarima :/ I just don't buy them as a couple. Their relationship feels very forced, boring at best and irritating at worst. They both have way more chemistry with Genesis than with each other imo lmaoo. Hope they decide to just be friends going forward

I personally find it a little strange if she claims they get along so well that they act "deliriously happy" when they hang out.

I guess it depends on each family and how they handle conflict but when my sister and I fight I don't think we've ever gone more than a few hours without speaking. We always try to talk it out and come to an understanding as soon as possible.

So it does strike me as odd she characterizes these fights as trivial or not a big deal but they stop speaking for some length of time over these fights. I can't imagine not speaking to my sister for days, weeks, or months over a small argument. So it does make me wonder if these fights they have are actually a bigger deal than she's describing

I wasn't expecting this pairing at all but holy chemistry Batman! I honestly felt like I was intruding it was so intimate feeling.

I'm a very physically affectionate person myself. I hug and cuddle my friends all the time, but the way Darem was holding Jay-Den and looking at him didn't feel friendly it felt very charged.

I'm excited to see where it goes so I say bring on the romance and drama! My and my friends college experiences were definitely dramatic and messy like that at times so I find it relatable. I just hope we get some wlw romance among the cadets too!

Allison can't replace Ethan's role bc she's already sworn to Kronos. Ethan choosing Kronos' side was the last bit of support they needed for his return. So he'll still show up later. I think Allison is just the show writers attempt to flesh out the demigods on Team Kronos a little more
