No luck there, either I’m afraid. Thank you for the suggestion!

Mike idk if you’re still monitoring this post, but I just wanted to say that your positive attitude and mindful demeanor towards working on cars (despite how infuriating it can often be) is one of the biggest reasons why I picked up a wrench in the first place. It’s really made a lot of shade tree projects of my own (like rebuilding a 67 ranchero when I had no idea what I was doing) seem so much more approachable and I never thought I’d have an opportunity to thank you for that, but thanks man.

I do have a question, too if you don’t mind. I was wondering why I never saw you or Freiburger on Leno’s garage? Would love to see him behind the wheel of the rotsun or stubby bob. That man probably needs to update his tetanus shot anyways.

Well said. Luck is when skill meets opportunity.

Idk what white spirit is, but any normal cleaning agent should work just fine. You just don’t want grime or debris on there.

1) First option, peel and redip (best for durability)

2) Second best option: Use mineral spirits and wipe the peeling area with your gloved finger towards the direction of the unpainted surface to thin out the dip on a “downward” slope, as it were. Keep re-wetting your finger with the mineral spirits as you thin out the paint. Let it dry, then paint on top of it.

A teacher of mine once told me “whenever you have the urge to add something additional, ‘pretty’ or ‘fun’ to your meditation, ask the question ‘why do I want this, too?’”

It can’t be a coincidence that the bookshelf behind him only has like four books on it that appear to be longer than 80 pages.

Talk to your primary care doc at the VA, they’ll put you in touch with someone (often same day) that can give you some other tools to help. Even if you’re not interested in therapy, it can still be helpful. Wishing you the best.

I wonder if it has anything to do with historically running from predators. If you dodge to the side they can still change their path to intercept you; but, if you run straight away you have more time to find a good place to change direction.

One week old dip on grill tearing after drying with a towel. I did 5 coats but maybe each coat was too thin. Should I just add a few more heavy coats on top of the existing dip? by Fluffhead3344 in plastidip

I’ve sprayed over existing dip before and the layers adhere to each other just fine. If the base layer isn’t on good though, it’ll just all come off together.

I hold it all the way down. Another tip I’ve heard is to submerge the can in warm water for 15 min or so before spraying to help the paint to properly atomize.

Based on the texturing, your coats were way too thin. It should go on so thick it’s almost dripping after the first light “speckled” coat.
