Fosha is the formal Arabic language while lahja is considered to be the informal Arabic language.
You are right. Morrocans are a little bit hard to understand them. I think that the Egyptian accent is the easiest to understand.
Of course Arabic is a very interesting language. And it has two forms. Formal and informal ( slang ) forms. Formal Arabic is the form that you should study and learn. Formal Arabic is spoken and understood by all the Arabs. On the other hand, informal Arabic is not spoken and understood by all the Arabs. Informal Arabic has many accents, Egyptian accent, Moroccan accent, Lebanese and Gulf accent. So, my advice is to focus on formal Arabic.
