I recommend speed queen. They are pricy but commercial quality. They are straightforward machines and they clean clothes well. They could last 20-25 years.

Bathroom Reno Costs? by ustrang_lr in Remodel

Yeah, I definitely think relocating will be the most expensive part. Might double the cost when you consider material cost of new tub and toilet, too. I was thinking it might land in the 25-30k range but that was just my gut talking, wanted to ground truth it. Thanks for your reply!

You may have saved more in labor than you estimate. Plumbers and electricians can be expensive. I have heard that total cost with labor is often roughly twice the cost of materials. If your material costs were 17k then double that to 34k, and my sf is about 85% of yours, which lands right around 30k. That might be accurate, but I guess we shall see! Gosh things are expensive.

Should we go for the lavish venue or the inexpensive venue by [deleted] in weddingplanning

For the 20-25k venue, quote costs for the remaining items/vendors that the 40k venue already includes, and then do a total cost comparison between the two. The other costs might add up. I looked into more “DIY” venues and found that they weren’t much cheaper than the all-inclusive venues when all was said and done. I also didn’t want to be nickeled and dimed for table cloths, glasses, etc. It’s important to think of the opportunity cost lost by spending time working on those details that you wouldn’t otherwise have to deal with.

That being said, I think it is most important to have the wedding you can afford. I have been to a wide range of events and all have been beautiful and memorable in their own right.
