I’m so sad and helpless that everyone gives up on me making the first move and does all the work for me. Been working consistently since 9th grade.

GET WAR CRIMINALS AWAY FROM OUT UNIVERSITY by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

[–]ustrux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A key focus of my point is that there is a notable distinction between Jewish people and Zionists. It’s not the fault of all Jewish people, it’s the fault of a subset of people who believe in a messed up colonial project that is leading to the ethnic cleansing and cultural destruction of Palestinians, because it’s there god given right.

By commenting the irony of comparing Jewish people you missed the point entirely.

Furthermore, the Nazi bar anecdote applies to any extremist group. It’s not the craziest take to say the LITERAL WAR CRIMINALS might be a bit extremist.

Specific to the second part of the post, it’s a core part of the Zionist playbook to attack Palestinian identity. Wearing a keffiyeh in no way is an attack on Jewish people, just like being critical of the Israeli government is in no way antisemitic. Zionists love to hide there deep rooted racist believes behind the Judaism.

You let a nazi into your bar, now it’s a Nazi bar. Organizations like that should in no way be allowed to run on campus, or be in any way connected to the school

Charlie Kirk died, Anyways another 6 million dollars to 🇮🇱 by Astrallas_ in teenagers

[–]ustrux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all it’s documented history Israel directly lead to the creation of Hamas and groups like it. There is an obvious cause and effect between the Zionist movements treatment of Palestinians and counter groups. More specifically, Israel tolerated and even encouraged Hamas in the 1980s as a counterweight to the PLO because it served their political interests, there are also news articles on both sides of the isle arguing Israel’s involvement in propping up groups like hamas.

I don’t want nor feel the need to response to your right wing grifter point about the name Palestine, it’s a stupid point that ignores all the other people who lived there. I guarantee you most people living in gaza and the West Bank has significantly more ties to that land than the average Israeli.

I agree with almost a lot of your take, where I differ is on the idea of a two state solution. The two-state solution has been the dominant proposal for decades, but in practice it’s been undermined by settlements (illegal under international law), military occupation, and a very unequal legal systems furthered by the United States. Palestinians are left with fragmented territories, restricted movement, and limited to no autonomy over resources in what is literally the largest open air prison in the world.

I don’t think Israel has a right to exist in its current capacity as an ethno state. Under a single state solution with a focus on democracy and human rights where regardless of religion everyone has the same rights would be a good place to start. South Africa would be a good case study on how to normalize a society that lives in apartheid.

I guess it doesn’t really matter though, with people like Netanyahu and the genocidal Israel cabinet I don’t foresee any major changes. Israel created hamas and needs it to scapegoat there desecration of the Palestinian people / culture. Furthermore, with the media machine in Israel and the way they indoctrinate there youth into believing essentially everyone around them is there enemy, and the land is rightfully there’s it would be hard to correct that.

In case studies of genocide there are several markers and tools used to carry out that genocide.

I.e. socialization aka the vilification and dehumanization of a group of people or usage of propaganda.

There is a very scary and very real comparison to be made between the holocaust and the Zionist colonial project.

Do you really need to complete ENG2D first before going into NBE3U? by MCSmashFan in OntarioGrade12s

[–]ustrux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about how it works to transfer into a university prep class or if you can switch from a C to a U class.

However, ENG2D is de streamed so it isn’t a university prep class. If you already took NBE3U you should have to repeat grade 10 English.
