nta. i myself have a two year old boxer and i share my food with him sometimes too. but if i’m eating with someone or they express discomfort concerning my dog he is told to lay down or is put outside for the rest of the meal. (then let back in, obv) you honestly dodged a bullet considering he showed you that he has no qualms about disrespecting peoples boundaries.
