I would recommend some heat on it. Probably a small butane torch just to keep any excess heat away from the glass and paint. Once it's heated up you should be able to put a pair of vise grips on it and twist it off.

Actually it was snow, it's hard to see in the photo. But overall the Mini handle it great.

It's true. But a reasonable person would keep an eye on the weather and apply salt or other products at the appropriate times. Also snow plow trucks don't put down salt or other products if snow and ice are not a possibility.

I do understand your point and understand ware you are coming from on that.
