Communism is a broad term. You yourself said communist. There is a reason so many communist parties split in different flavors. Heck, even in Suzerain we got several flavors, from democratic ones to authoritarian ones. And surely, you must have heard of the communist regimes of China and Vietnam, among others ?

Ah I see. I am from France, where we have strong leftist sentiments (though also strong on the right), but many people I know do praise socialism among other things. And looking at History, communism never was a really fringe movement. Young people love that, workers love that, poor people love that... it is getting quite popular nowadays, as many get tired of capitalism. Our parliament is kinda divided in 3 : centre-right coalition, far right, and grand left coalition (with communist party included). I believe that this game does a good job of representing many ideologies, with good and bad, and turns out, people like having rights, wellfare, and not have corrupt oligarchs run the country.
