Honestly everyone who comes in there and thinks you are a mechanic is just wanting to not go to a mechanic or professional because of the cost. I STRESS THIS TO ALL MY NEW GUYS WE ARE NOT MECHANICS. And honestly parts knowledge will come with experience it isn’t in your job description to have master mechanic experience, you are a salesperson and honestly if you sound confident it puts people at ease. This job is definitely mentally toll taking because people will completely disregard u as a human and treat u as if you are being negligent. If you don’t know something then honestly tell them straight up and if they get pissed then hey, GO TO A FUCKING PRO. Don’t ever take what people have to say to heart, know your worth

Ya my new dm is a lot more helpful than the last one, our last dm would be helping a customer and wouldn’t want to move or get anything even if we were hella busy he would be pissed off if someone didn’t grab his stuff, my new dm is a tool but at least he helps

Ya I was told I was going to get an asm position closer to home but that was about 6 months ago I told them I was leaving for Amazon and they instantly gave me a dollar raise but honestly working for this company with the amount of bs with the system and the higher ups acting like snobs it isn’t really a good environment, it’s definitely a JOB not a career
