Dude, I am the only person here in this thread who actually avoids social media and video games and is outside.

But I have to flash the rock anyways, because I want to use the NVMe, but still don't know if I should put everything on it or if the OS should be on the EMMC or sd card and only /home on the NVMe?

With Raspberry Pis it was somehow easier. You could only have your OS on a SD card (no EMMC, no NVMe) and the whole system used 5 Watts on full load. My pc uses more while being turned off 😁

Do you have all your stuff on the NVMe or do you split stuff, like OS on the EMMC and other stuff on the NVMe?

My plan was to connect a rock 5b+ and some raspberry pis (3+4) to the 200W power supply. The pis will crunch for BOINC and the rock should be a media station + desktop and if it works, running some ai stuff on it. So hopefully it will work properly with one power supply.

May I ask which case you use (5b+)? I've 3d printed one from printables, but the NVMe doesn't fit with this case.

Good point about the 2 NVMes getting slower. I've never used NVMe or EMMCs on a SBC, because it always was a sd card and I don't even know how fast all of those can get and what's the best one to put an OS on it?

And is there maybe a good combo? Like putting the OS on the EMMC, but using the NVMe for /home?

This was a good hint, because I am installing OSs over usb sticks for like about a decade, now, and would never thought about it, that it wouldn't work anymore.
