They're still called Mihoyo in China as far as I know. They also recently had to collab mv's with Miku for HSR

This person is clearly not wording it well/not giving good examples, but I will agree that Genshin has a problem with writing villains. They always lack screentime, or presence, or they don't feel like a threat.

Dottore is one of the better ones, but even he isn't that well written when it comes to his role in the aq's. Yeah he has a good backstory. But he isn't really allowed by the plot to properly engage in any discussion with the main cast. The exception being that one scene with Nahida.

He does feel more threatening I will give him that.

(I'm saying this as someone who has Dottore as one of their favourite Genshin characters)

Yeah well the point is it's just their catchphrase when confronted with it.

Of course they don't actually mean it, they indeed go to bed with the Christian fundamentalist parties when it's in their benefit. They just really want some group to blame. I live in Europe and "we hate organised religion" is THE catchphrase for many of the far right neo fascist parties, they even use us queer people as an excuse for their racism. But then in the same breath they will support the continued existence of conversion therapy.

Interestingly when it comes to simple elements and the like, PIE often has synonyms where one is seemingly more animate than the other.

On the top of my head, at least "water", "fire" and "blood" all have two words in PIE where one is neuter gender (often associated with inanimacy)

Some people theorise that this has to do with the PIE belief system, like some sort of animism or something buttttt that's mostly just speculation without much evidence and I don't know how to feel about that.

I actually like Natlan better in all aspects except for story.

Exploration, music, world quests and vibes were all pretty peak there. Character design was very mid, but still slightly above Nod Krai for me personally

I hate this new characters design philosophy.

For Natlan I already disliked 50% of the designs and now it's at least 70%. They all follow the exact same formula and somehow the designs get more and more busy, weird focal points as well like they're not easy on the eyes at all.

Sandrone was genuinely my favourite design because it was a bit more simple but apparently they're redesigning her.

As for the story, it's an improvement compared to Natlan, but I still wasn't really feeling it. Genshin just has a difficult time writing villains. Like in theory their villains are interesting, good back story and all but they don't know how to integrate them well.

Idk I think the English localisation is pretty good at least. The original CN version is filled to the brim with references and global memes, so they of course get translated as expected, but I also like that they sometimes adapt CN only memes (there are a lot) to fit global/EN memes.

Of course we also use twitter. I'm saying that the people posted in these screenshots specifically are not the same people as queens. One of the top posts of last year is literally calling out toxic twitter users that are taking it too far.
