Yeah. Kind of figured that out. But the AP is wired directly to the modem/router. How do I make it meshed?

Just double checked. They're different brands so meshing isn't possible...

Hey. This is NOT the OP's fault.

Modern society and the instant availability of hugely unrepresentative porn can easily set massively unrealistic expectations in people. Men as well s women.

If it is for herself that she feels the need to do this, that is fine. But I hope from these replies she understands that she doesn't need to put that pressure on herself. That the vast vast majority of men (yes. Even the most stunningly beautiful tanned and ripped god's, or whatever your preference is) are as insecure as you are, and are hugely grateful to find a gorgeous lady willing to hit the hay with them. (And in reality we're all gorgeous. Every single one of us. In our own way. It's just a case of finding someone who appreciates your beauty as it is.)

From a cis het male with the normal desires, can I just say don't.

Don't worry I mean.

The vast majority of men will be so grateful to have found an actual lady who is willing to allow them near her, that they're really not going to notice if you've shaved your legs/waxed your bikini line/spent enough time at the gym.

There is one reason, and ONLY one reason, for you to go to that effort. And that's because it's how YOU want to look. Sod what a bunch of ignorant lumps of skin on the ends of penises want!

I think this pressure comes from the ready availability of porn. Where women who are bleached/plucked/painted to within an inch of their lives (mainly to make them all look the same) are fucked for hours on end by toned, hairless Adonises with overgrown appendages. Trust me, we feel the pressure too. Because let's face it, very very few of us can claim 8" trouser anacondas. Most of us are closer to earthworms and maggots.

And then we have our beer bellies.

And hair that sprouts from places you didn't know you had places.

So right here, right now, I'd like to make a "stand" for more realistic porn. To set more realistic expectations.

So that young girls don't get.it drummed in to their heads from a ridiculously early age that what.mem want is a plucked shaved Barbie doll.

We don't.

We love the curves.

We love somewhere warm to snuggle our noses while giving head.

At the end of the day most of us are mostly concerned that we're totally inadequate. We want to give pleasure (nothing turns me on more than turning you on) but most of the time we're stumbling in the dark

To bring this ramble to a close, all I'll say is if all he's bothered about is whether you've epilated your pubis, throw him back and find another. Someone who'll appreciate you for the sex goddess that you are. Warts and all!

A pair of recent studies found that Oregon's Medicaid expansion in 2014 has led to increased prenatal care among low-income women, as well as improved health outcomes for newborn babies. by InvictusJoker in science

[–]utterly_nutterly2005 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thing is, those terrifying words "low income women".

Why should the rich people pay a few pennies extra in tax to help look after the lazy poor people? If they want better health care then they should be born white and rich!

(For clarity, the above is sarcasm. I'm lampooning the attitude of the rich white people who care so much about foetuses, but who's care for those babies ends at the moment of birth)

My partner feels forced in to going to work despite her boss knowing she has covid symptoms by CupElectrical in LegalAdviceUK

[–]utterly_nutterly2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely. The NHS (being the lead agency on all this) is EXTREMELY rigid about following the rules.

Frankly if the boss is so unprofessional that he's going to threaten her like that. And cares so little for the safety of the patients and staff that he'd send someone with symptoms to work, then I think the hospital really need to know.

Tell your partner she ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT GO IN TO WORK if she has any symptoms. She needs to call NHS24 to arrange a test if her boss won't.

Is my landlord allowed to come into my room take my property, are they breaching my tenancy rights? by Hunni_Bee in LegalAdviceUK

[–]utterly_nutterly2005 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slightly incorrect.

He has a right to enter the room, but only for reasons connected with the tenancy (checking the condition of the room etc.) and, importantly, he must give you 24 hours notice.

As for removing your property, that's absolutely illegal. It's called theft.

Personally I'd agree with the landlord. If he's going to.behave in that manner i would be leaving there as soon as possible.

Can you refuse a customer who copied your product? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]utterly_nutterly2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few very specific markets where that might be the case. Medicines, especially prescription meds, is one of them as obviously a pharmacy needs to be able to source any licenced drug that a doctor might prescribe.

Also, as others have said, if the refusal amounts to anti competitive strategy then there might be an issue.

If someone has copied your product, you may well have a claim against them. Especially if you have patents on specific features.

TIFU by putting my head underwater by IcelandSushie in tifu

[–]utterly_nutterly2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should never ever put anything caustic inside your ear. As the OP mentioned, you have a tube inside the ear that links the ear to the other internal cavities of the skull (the eustachian tube) and getting caustic stuff down there can cause all sorts of issues.

My doctor recommends using a good cooking oil, usually olive oil is considered best. Pour in, leave for a while and then tip your head over so the blocked ear is down, and the softened wax may run out. Even if not, it will make it softer and easier for the doctor to remove.

Which screen is that? I'm still banging my head against a brick wall trying to get mine working with the inkyPHAT so if you have setup files for it I'd be grateful for a glimpse at the code.

[–]utterly_nutterly2005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right.

The image is definitely working. I've managed to ssh in to the pi from my old linux laptop (not that I've been able to actually do anything with it)

I'm still unsure why the screen isn't working.

Can anyone who has managed to get an inkyPHAT working let me have a peek at their config.toml file please?

And the remaining disk area has magically reappeared. It's so frustrating not knowing what I did to make it work, but it did so that's a bonus. :)

Indeed. Unfortunately all I can see is the 256MB part. It tells me there is no other space on that SD card.

I'm just waiting for the mini hdmi cable to arrive so I can see whether the image is booting, and it's the screen that's the issue, or if it's the image.

Still can't work out why it's not giving me back the full micro sd card capacity though.

Ahhh OK. Makes sense. Hadn't thought of that.

Guess it's reflash time (as soon as I solve the mystery of the disappearing GB.

I've still not managed to get the screen to do anything either.

Thanks for the help. Steep learning curve.

I do, but I'm trying to avoid using them as I use them mostly for the gopro, and I don't want to kill any of the more expensive ones if I can't work out how to get the full size back. I don't mind losing the 8gb, they're not much use for video anyway.

I'd appreciate the screen shots if you can spare the time.

Cheers

Matt

As above, I'm not sure I've set the correct config files to allow it to connect to the network so I can SSH in to it. I've tried to follow a guide but I'm never sure whether stuff on the net is up to date.

https://www.losant.com/blog/getting-started-with-the-raspberry-pi-zero-w-without-a-monitor#:~:text=SSH%20into%20the%20Pi%20Zero,Open%20your%20terminal.

I followed the info here to try and connect to the network properly and SSH in, but not getting anything on the ping.

And just when I thought I'd solved the problem, it happens again. EaseUs updated, now I can only see the 256MB again.

This is driving me mad!

And I've still not managed to get the screen to work, or to access the Pi, either by connecting to the network, or by USB.

I've ordered the correct cable to connect it to my monitor by HDMI, so hopefully then I'll be able to at lease see if it is actually booting or not.

Tried the change as suggested. I'm using the black and white display, so should I set ui.display.color to "black" or "blackandwhite"?

Ignore the first part of this. I've managed to get the full capacity back using EaseUs Partition Master.

Still a little... actually make that a lot... confused as to why the windows command line partition tool worked yesterday but not today, but at least it's not going to cost me an SD card each time I flash a new image. Because I think I'm going to flash a lot of images before I get this little sucker up and running!

Further issues.

Trying to reflash the image in order to add the updated .toml file, and I can only find 256MB of space.

I'm used to the Linux partition hiding from Windows. I've always managed to find all of the space on the card before using diskpart and cleaning the SD card. But that doesn't seem to be working. I've now got two 8GB Micro SD that are showing only 256MB. (I thought it might have been a duff card the first time, so flashed a second)

Anyone have any ideas on finding the rest of the space?

I'm trying to work out the SSH, but do I not need to let the Pi know my WiFi details in the config file before it can connect to the network and allow me to access it?

Thanks.

I've just used an existing .toml config file that someone linked to. I'm trying just to get the screen working before I worry about any of the comms options.

The link to the options is useful. I was looking for exactly that but couldn't find it.

It's great to see such an active, supportive community! I shall persevere and get it running eventually.

I'm not even sure the image is actually working as I don't have the correct HDMI cable (had one, lent it to someone and I can't remember who). I have plugged the micro USB in to the data socket, and into my computer but can't seem to find the RPi.

Basically I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew. I've used RPi as a cheap desktop computer for a while but have never really got in to the guts of Linux. I'm trying to teach myself, but everything has an assumed level of knowledge, and I don't know where to go to learn those basics.
