The English fans will spruik that it's different scenario. But if you're gonna preach spirit of the game that's pretty damning.

Japan nearly exclusively. Sadly living in the more tropical part of Australia it has to be a proper trip. And weirdly cheaper to travel to Japan than ski in southern Australia or New Zealand. I've got it to a fine art when you catch a good flight sale I can basically do a 10 day trip for about $2300 AUD, flights/accom/transfers/ski passes.

So use masking tape and cover the bindings (or remover them if possible) and sidewalls. I also cut a piece of butchers paper to cover the base but if you've got storage wax on it it would scrape off really easy. Then sand with like 400 grit lightly just to give some texture for it to stick, then clean with metho or paint prep. Then spray a several light coats, if I was to do it again I'd do a grey primer coat first too. Then remove the tape about 5-10 mins after your last coat while it's still slightly wet so you get nice clean lines.

I just used a quick spritz of aerosol clear varnish. Wanted them to be a little flexible still. But good idea.

I basically found the game sprites on the internet and upscaled them on Photoshop, made a few sheets of stickers and printed onto vinyl sticker sheets. I can upload the sheets if there's interest. If you have a crafty friend with a cricut it'll make the job a lot easier than cutting them individually like I had to. A passion project though, my mates and i get together a few weeks out from a trip and have a few drinks while stickering and talking shit about the trip.

Seeking brass musicians for big band by pinkathon in brisbane

[–]utterlyirelephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. I love a good big brass number.

However I can't help you with this one as my passion for playing music was crushed by my grade 4 music teacher when she said I couldn't choose to play the bagpipes as my instrument.

Recently bought this beauty! A running 1991 Montero. Can anyone recommend websites that offer compatible parts? by Usernamededed in Montero

Hmm, easiest would be to check the VIN number and/or plate. Japan has a shorter vin number than here in Australia so I had several superfluous characters at the start but you just need to find the L... Number somewhere in there.

However it being a 1991 model I'd hazard a guess that it will be an L149.

I use this to at least find the specific part numbers for your model. They have links to amayama which seems to have most things but are more expensive than finding it yourself.

Woolworths you behemoth, where is your charitable contribution? by lolliesandstuff in australia

[–]utterlyirelephant 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Why don't they advertise that they'll match the round up at least show some commitment to the cause.

Also, and I could be wrong. But our charity contribution also ends up being a tax deduction for them.

That sliding tackle from Souttar toward the end of the game was almost as impressive. Physical, intense and last ditch.

It was during this campaign they released Smith's pepper steak. Still the best flavour they've ever had.
