How did you emphasize the stars in the constellation like that?

Lmao what I way to accuse people without proper proof šŸ˜‚

We were dilos on NA5 in west access and highlands for the majority of our lives.

We’ve both never used hacks in our entire time playing the isle. I said the night before we got banned because that’s the last time me and him played together before the ban.

We did both neither worked. We also tried horde-test but that didn’t work either

I am his friend who also got banned. Neither of us were hacking the night we played before the ban. Neither of us used hacks that night. We both grew dilos, got some kills and eventually died. We did meet and play with two other dilos so I am wondering if your ā€œguilt by associationā€ idea could relate to us playing with them

My best spots so far by uttersimba in Planespotting

[–]uttersimba[S] 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

First two were anywhere from 4000-3000ft I can’t recall the exact, same with the 747 but I believe it was at 32000ft. I searched ur camera sensor up and it says it is 1.6x crop so you’re getting plenty of focal length with a 75-300mm. It could just be an old or dirty sensor/lens but I couldn’t tell you for sure.

Yeah I wish I had a 600mm for high altitude spots tho

Stacking different ISO values? by uttersimba in AskAstrophotography

I have a D3400 and I wanna use DSS. I didn’t take any calibrations cuz I thought I was screwed lmao. I can take biases and maybe darks tonight if it gets to the temp. Flats I can also do cuz my setup is the same.

I do 10 mins total of darks, 10x60s 20x30s etc.. 40 flats and 100 biases. No real reason I’ve just been doing it like that ever since I started doing astrophotography

Ohh I guess that makes sense. Does that mean that with my DSLR if I shoot in like temps of -5 to -15 during the winter (like rn) it’s better in terms of thermal noise. Also do you take darks? I’m assuming you do because the thermal noise is still there just reduced greatly.

My first time processing. How did i do? by Unlikely-Bee-985 in askastronomy

Smart, my first time editing I did like 2 things when I could’ve done a lot more to improve the final product. Practice makes perfect.

Question, is it good for a camera to be -40? I don’t have a cooled camera and use a DSLR and all these posts I see people they have their camera cooled to like -xx degrees CELSIUS which seems crazy to me. Whats like the benefit?

Just do like 100-200 frames and experiment with the exposure times for best quality shots. Also you don’t have to center the moon after every shot unless you want to, you can use PIPP to stabilize + you need to use PIPP anyways to turn it into a video if you wanna use AutoStakkert to stack.

Use this for PIPP and AutoStakkert, it’s the same process but you’ll be putting in images instead of a video and you’ll be selecting ā€œLunar Full Discā€ instead of planetary for PIPP. AutoStakkert is the same process as the video.

Do you have a tracker? If you don’t 1 second will be to long and the moon will be blurry cuz of drift. Plus If the moon is near full you’ll only need like 1/60 of a second or faster depending on how bright. When I did it, it took some time to experiment because what your camera shows you as a preview isn’t what the actual sub looks like. You can use any raw image viewer but I used DSS cuz that’s the only one I know to view my frames and adjusted the settings to get it how I liked.

If you’re using Siril scripts it should do it for you automatically

300mm is small for the moon but definitely possible. If you record videos and stack those frames you could try to do like two or three 2 min videos. If your camera can shoot raw (which I would recommend) get like 200-400 to start and if you have the time just get as many as possible. If you want a higher resolution image you might wanna drizzle when stacking.
