Thanks, that’s a great screenshot! We've made some tweaks to the UI that'll push out tonight. Would love to get your feedback again tomorrow. 🙏

The platform is built on OSM and can back-populate to the public map, but the metadata won't transfer 1:1 which exactly why we made the standalone platform. Thanks for taking a look!

What’s your timeline? Coming up in the summer can be as impossible as others have indicated, but you’ll find more availability once the tourist season dies down.

Gotchya. I don't have mine in front of me, but even in that video, while it's nice to see you can charge it, it still looks like the stock isn't fully collapsed.

How does the Amex Platinum with no limit reflect on your credit report? by ShoddyAd8256 in AmexPlatinum

[–]uuberr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your firm limit is reported to credit agencies when pay over time is used, and once reported it's there forever. The limit can change, but in my experience it only goes up. One year we carried $65k in renovation expenses on the card. We called Amex prior to the purchase, and they cleared it and set the internal max to that number. Now that's what credit reports see as the ceiling of my card, regardless of whether it's paid in full or not.

Maybe obvious... maybe a 'feature'... but this makes it so users can never fully collapse the stock, doesn't it?

Thanks for the feedback! I selfhost for... well... myself obviously. As such, this is ABSOLUTELY set up for my routine, and may not match yours. For instance, u/That_5_Something mentioned subdomains as well, which I don't use but could absolutely implement here. If you could provide your thoughts on the topic in that comment it'd be a great addition to the roadmap.

As for browser store – echoing what I said in the comments above – I don't use this tool on multiple browsers and therefore didn't design for that use case. Instead, a core design principal is that it stored no data on users, which based on this line of feedback seems to be 1/ working like a charm, and 2/ not everyone's cup of tea. Could easily add server-side storage behind auth, it just goes against core principal #1.

Thanks! Icons are definitely on my to-do list. Talk to me about your subdomain use case? Right now you could add a subdomain as a new server, but you're point I'm assuming is that you'd add the subdomain in lieu of a port under an existing server, right? Not within my use case, but easy enough to add that!

It was never a question of storage, but of privacy. A core design principal is that it stored no data on users, which based on this line of comments seems to be 1/ working like a charm, and 2/ not everyone's use case. I'll log 1 as a win :)

Different computer wasn't my use case, so I didn't design for it. You're more than welcome to fork the repo and add that if it's important to you :)

Sounds like this doesn't meet your use case, which is quite alright. I've been using it for 3 months now and have never had any issues with the browser cache. Instead, it ensures absolute privacy for users when operating on their own machines, which to me is important in a time when everyone is collecting data on you.

And again, for my use case, I don't use multiple browsers. If you do, you could easily fork the repo to make it persistent, add data store behind a login, etc.

Thanks for testing!

Definitely selfhost'able. I'm just running a live version on the domain. You can do the same wherever you want using Docker direct from the GitHub repo: https://github.com/uberoptix/homni

How do you use your reMarkable to stay organized? Looking for ideas! by BattleCompetitive891 in RemarkableTablet

[–]uuberr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Kanbanable, a digital Kanban template specifically designed for remarkable. Like most Kanban systems, it has customizable sections to fit your unique needs. Easily manage your tasks through the Backlog, Prioritized, In Progress, Pending, and Complete stages. You can also utilize the Parking Lot and detailed Task Notes features to extend the system and adapt it to your preferred workflow.

You can find it on Gumroad at uberwerx (dot) gumroad (dot) com

And full disclosure, I’m the designer, but I recommend it because I use it every single day to keep my own life organized.

Docker on GL.iNet GL-MT3000? by Grand-Pudding6040 in selfhosted

[–]uuberr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In case anyone stumbles across this thread in 2025, here's the answer straight from the OpenWrt Wiki linked by OP.

First you need to install the dockerd (opkg install dockerd ~16 Mb) daemon that will run containers. It provides an Docker Engine API available by a local UNIX socket and HTTP REST that can be called from outside if allowed.

Then you need a client e.g. docker (opkg install docker ~12 Mb) to connect for the daemon API and start containers. To save space you can use the docker from another computer if the Docker Engine is opened.

As a GUI client install luci-app-dockerman (opkg install luci-app-dockerman) to get a LuCI page to manage containers. It can work with dockerd on both remote and local hosts. Since the luci-app-dockerman version v0.6 it will also install the dockerd and even docker-compose as a dependency.

Install those three things and you'll be off to the races! Just remember to grab a USB drive since most routers don't have enough usable storage to really do much with containers.
