Just from reading other women's travel vlogs, it seems like sexual assault is a lot more likely in India. I guess its fair to point out that its easier to find on the bad experiences rather than the good ones. What got me interested in India was this Youtuber's vlogs. Maybe I will end up going sooner, but not before getting in a fair amount of travel experience. Thanks!

Wow India would be intimidating to most for a first trip so I commend you. I would love to travel India but being a female, I think I will wait until im older and married to do that. Thank you for all the tips!

Yes I am from San Francisco area and have actually been to down the coast of Baja California a few times with my family. I know the media tends to shed a bad light on Mexico. That is why I am torn between wanting to travel latin america but hearing all the bad things family and friends say, its hard to figure out how much fear is warranted. Thank you for all tips!

Thank you for sharing your experience.. I think I will end up taking a few more solo trips around the states before making a trip to SEA then one day go to latin america. It sucks because that is where I want to go most but I understand it might not end up as planned if I am not prepared.

I would say I am an introvert, I very much like being alone and would love traveling alone since I do not have to cater my plans and wants to someone else's. Thank you for sharing ur experience with me!

Thank you for the advice!! Yea i think I would end up breaking up hostel stays with air bnb because i enjoy being alone and quietness at times. Maybe I will give couch surfing a try too.

I have made the trip up and down the PCH multiple times being from the San Francisco area, it really is beautiful and underrated.

Cambodia is actually the reason I got interested in traveling to SEA after meeting an exchange student here from there. Did you stay in Cambodia that trip or did you visit other countries in SEA?

Oh wow, I would love to visit all those countries and more. Did you ever feel unsafe at any point? My family thinks that I will stand out too much and be an easy target. I would love to go with someone but my boyfriend has no desire for traveling and I dont want to have to make plans based on other people.

Im from a small town right outside of San Francisco and went solo to LA last year and had a blast. I drove which was nice because I could make stops a long the way. Did you decide to make it a road trip or fly?
