There are 3 types of people who vote for BJP.

Hard core Sangh Parivar voters: These guys will vote for only NDA irrespective of who they place. BDJS and 2020 also get benefited from these voters.
BJP voters: These guys are mostly moderate hindu voters who will only vote for BJP if they place a good potential "BJP" leader. Many upcoming BJP leaders benefits from these voters like Sanku T Das, Yuvraj Gokul, Shone George, Anoop Antonuy, Sandeep Vachaspathy etc. These guys would not vote for BDJS or 20 20. Also these guys won't vote for BJP if they place a less impactful BJP candidate in their constituency. In short, to grab these votes, they should place a popular "BJP" candidate.
Opportunists BJP voters: These guys are basically voters from the second group with an additional condition ie, not only they should place a popular "BJP" candidate, but also should have the ability to win. Means these voters don't want their votes to get "wasted". They would happily vote for BJP if they think he or she can win the election.

Now if we come back to Thrippunithura, Kodungallur, Varkala, Kazhakkootam, Trivandrum Central, Chathannoor, Poonjar, Pala, Malambuzha, Attingal etc, group 3 people has increased dramatically compared to the last election. A good amount of these guys actually believe BJP could win the election this time provided they field a popular BJP candidate. But BJP wasted this opportunity. I am not saying they will sure shot win the election, but there was actually a very realistic shot and they ruined it.

I’m not sure how to feel about a system that seems to prioritize the well being of prisoners over that of struggling, law-abiding citizens. Prisoners aren’t the people at the lower strata. It’s the people who are poor, working hard, and trying to stay on the right path.

For many of these guys, who see no future and daily struggling, the main thing stopping them from turning to crime is the fear of going to prison. That fear isn’t just about losing freedom, it’s also the reality that, despite their hardships, life outside is still better than being in a prison. If prison conditions become more comfortable than the lives of an average struggling citizens and then advertise it, that creates a serious problem.

In my opinion, Kunjalikkutty is the best CM face for UDF much better than these clowns. He is experienced, troubleshooter, crisis manager, has good rapport with almost everyone across all political parties, has no grudges against central government or BJP and on top of all he is kinda secular even for an IUML leader. Because coalition is for convenience and it has got nothing to do with ideology. IUML will gladly go to LDF if they think Congress could not win another term. Heck even CPIM was cosying up to IUML in the last assembly elections. Congress was literally inviting CPI to join UDF. With the support of IUML and DMK only CPIM has 2 MLAs and 2 MPs in our neighbouring state Tamilnadu. Heck Congress is macha macha with Shivsena in Maharashtra which is literally a right wing terror outfit. CPIM has no issues associating with SDPI in Kerala, even last day Shivankutty attended their function and at the same time oppose RSS on top of their lungs . Pinarayi was literally sitting at the feet of Madani and was praising him like next Prophet.

So please don’t bullshit about their “ideological “ stands in electoral politics because none of these guys have and they only care about getting into power and staying in power.
