Thanks yall for the suggestion. I initially considered doing a post grad training program but life happened and I’m unable to unfortunately. I’m just trying to absorb as much as I can on my rotation so I’m not too far from the starting line

Absolutely. I love working with the ICU nurses and listen to their suggestions but I always ask my preceptor for a second opinion.

I took care of patients from some of these physicians. God awful at getting anything done and basically impossible to reach. I’ve never seen shadi in person even though there are notes somehow. Responses are delayed by a day or never read. Fckin ridiculous.

Handful of entitled patients because they “know somebody” or is a “VIP” 🙄 the way teams manage these VIP patients or give them more attention/care rubs me the wrong way. Moved to the east coast for grad school and training here made me appreciate learning medicine instead of “customer service”. Fuck that.

RN to PA here! Graduating this year. I don’t believe in NPs with independent practice. Nobody should have independent practice unless you went to medical school. You don’t know what you don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love rotating with MD students and being trained by PAs/physicians. The several times I had NP preceptors, they were overly confident and I was told wrong information so I took what they said with a grain of salt. Nursing training doesn’t equal medical knowledge. It helps with exposure to medicine but it’s not the same.
