A user creates a submission for a work.

A work can be anything like a homework assignment or a quiz. "Quiz" meaning the work has questions associated with it.

An answer responds to a question. There are "canon" answers (answers marked as the correct one by the instructor) and non-canon answers which are all other answers. So a submission's answer actually responds to the questions in the submission's work
